𝒯𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈 𝒾𝓃 𝑅𝑜𝓂𝑒

𝘈 𝘎𝘺𝘳𝘰 𝘡𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘪 𝘹 𝘰𝘤 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺

Gyro was patching up Gianna, tying bandages around her waist. Albeit pretty roughly, “You’ve got to stop getting yourself hurt all the time” He says in a rough voice, the annoyance prominent in his voice yet there was a hint of worry. Gianna simply looked at him for a brief moment before glancing away. “Can’t promise nothing..” she stated bluntly. Gyro huffed and glared at her before finishing her bandages and standing up. “You’re lucky I have skills in the medical field, otherwise you would have been killed by now.” Gyro glared. Gianna just continued glancing down with that blank look on her face. “I wouldn’t have been killed. I can bandage my own wounds” Gyro scoffed, “Yeah and you do a crap job at it” he stated harshly. Gianna sighed and shook her head as she stayed silent. Gyro glared at her before huffing and getting on his horse, Valkyrie. “Cmon. We’ll ride to a camping place because I don’t trust you not to get hurt if you’re by yourself.” Gianna rolled her eyes in response before mounting her mare, Gelato. Gelato whinnied to Gianna before starting to trot beside Valkyrie. “So.. how’d you get hurt this time?” Gyro asked, trying to start a conversation. Gianna stayed silent before murmuring “Gelato got scared and accidentally knocked me off- to my disliking I fell on some sharp rocks.” Gyro rolled his eyes a bit before sighing “Dang it, if you keep getting hurt-” he paused for a moment trying to think of the right words. “Listen Gianna. If you keep getting hurt there could be a point where I’m not going to find you and be able to patch you up.” Gyro stated, Gianna opened her mouth to say something but Gyro cut her off. “And I know you think you don’t need any help because of your stupid isolation issues and all the walls you put up, but the truth is you’re going to get yourself killed if you keep this up,” He said sternly and seriously. Gianna stayed silent as she took in this information, thinking of a response. It was quiet, the only sounds being of the horse's hooves lightly pattering the ground underneath them, and the soft chirping of crickets. Gianna finally spoke up, deciding to swallow her pride for a bit. “I appreciate you always patching me up. Even if I don’t always show it, you’re not so bad.” Gianna stated, her voice soft as a slightly embarrassed blush spread across her face. Gyro stayed speechless for a moment, not used to many people, much less Gianna sharing their gratitude. He just looked over at her before looking back at the road ahead. “Thanks, Gianna you’re not too bad yourself, for a woman anyway” He shrugged with a cocky grin on his face which revealed his golden grills. Gianna just smiled a bit at his response and rolled her eyes. After about half an hour the pair found a place decent enough to set up camp, Gianna got off her horse and started to gather wood for a fire. Meanwhile, Gyro set up his sleeping bag and gave him and Gianna’s horse some water from a nearby pond. Once the fire was done Gianna sat down on a log glancing at the flames before her, she had always enjoyed looking at fire to her it was simply so comforting. Gyro sat beside her and stretched a bit before grinning and asking “So what's for dinner?” Gianna looked over at him and started rummaging through her bags before pulling out two beefsteak tomato soups and pouring them both into a pot before holding the pot over the fire. Gyro just watched as he stretched his back, once the soup was warm Gianna poured it into the two wooden bowls she had, handing one of the bowls to Gyro. “Here.” she said plainly before Gyro took the bowl and smirked “Thanks” he sipped the bowl slowly so as to not burn himself and Gianna did the same. Gianna then glanced over at Gyro noticing his slight shivers so she sighed and gently put her fluffy cloak around his shoulders like a blanket. Gyro was stunned for a moment before a cheeky grin spread across his face.

“Aw, so someone does care I see” He smirked and teased. Gianna simply rolled her eyes in response. “Don’t expect it to be normal, and I expect it back later,” she stated bluntly as she sipped her soup. Gyro shrugged “Well thanks but I didn’t need your cloak, I’ve been way colder than this before.” Gianna huffed slightly at his answer before feeling half of the cloak on her shoulder, Gyro had wrapped it around the both of them. “Now we both won’t freeze to death.” he joked before finishing his soup. Gianna simply glanced at him for a moment before glancing back down. She felt a warm feeling in her chest. Never had she felt so.. Cared for by someone else, her view of everyone had always been that others were selfish and crude. She then made up her mind to lower her mental walls- just for a bit anyway. She then leaned her head slightly on Gyro's shoulder, Gyro shot her a look. His mouth was slightly agape from confusion. “What are you doing?” he questioned with a confused and slightly annoyed look on his face. Gianna quickly sat up. “Sorry. Guess I got too comfortable,” she stated as she slightly glanced down, Gyro sighed and rolled his eyes trying to decide what he was going to do. He finally said “No it’s fine. If you want to do that I guess you can, just this once though” he made sure to say that last part firmly not wanting her to get any ideas. Gianna was slightly surprised but leaned her head on his shoulder once more which in turn Gyro leaned his head softly on hers and the two ended up dozing off like that... They both had feelings in their chest they couldn’t describe as they stayed close to each other as they slept. Maybe, just maybe, these feelings they had for each other would bloom and grow.
