Kinda crazy to me that trains are so fucking huge yet railway right of ways can be so narrow and precise
larger than a semi truck and you can do this shit with it

did you know they say calculus is the language of God. did you know they tried to hold math up to infinity like a candle to the void. did you know statisticians plunged into the vastness of random chance and picked out patterns and equations and eight hundred ways to tell you how big your inevitable errors are and how far off those guesses at errors might be. math haters I can't sit with you anymore. human innovation is cradled in these ancient, methodical, desperate attempts at understanding what we are not designed to understand
#the innate order of math is the closest thing i have to sprituality#things just happen to be like this? thats crazy#i dont think big man in the sky did it#but i struggle to believe the universe doesnt know what its doing at some level

its important to understand what you don't like and why.
Key word is *why*. Doing urself no favors by simply hating on vibes, that's how they make republicans.
Interrogating and understanding your disdain a little more gives you valuable insight into your own critical lense (VERY important if you're an artist) and it ultimately makes you a lot more forgiving because you can parse out your negative feelings.
"I don't like this thing because the narrative treats women poorly" from "I simply don't like this thing because the special effects are poorly executed"
or parsing out "I hate this artist because they pander to teen girls, a cohort whom i dislike.... maybe I should excise that about myself" versus "I don't like this album because it is mixed like trash and the drummer can't play in time for shit"
I really get exhausted by "purge your negativity" mental health/spirituality sentiments. The world can be fuckin negative sometimes and by refusing to engage with your own negativity you render yourself to it.
Would you hand off a loaded gun to a child with no firearm safety training? Why would you hand off your anger to the child that lives inside you when you're upset?

#negativity#being a hater#hating for your emotional wellbeing#it's just important to feel all your feelings yknow#you're going to feel them anyways but you lose control when you try to deny them
