buck is eddies hit of dopamine. when he’s in texas and he needs just a little pick me up, when he needs the smallest jolt of support or joy, he texts buck. sometimes it’s just: hey. sometimes it’s something matter of fact: did you see a package arrive there? I think i still have my address listed on my acct. sometimes eddies just completely honest: doing kind of rough bud… just needed to check in.. and every time..to every text..Buck responds. he responds with: hey :) or with a fun fact, or a small story about his day, or he sends a pic of one of his new outfits, or of the bird he saw in the park….and eddie feels something so solid and warm in his chest and… he gets overwhelmed sometimes, 800 miles away, at how grateful he is for buck… how buck is his foundation, everyone thinks he’s bucks but eddie knows the truth, it’s the other way around…buck is his tether to the world, he’d be lost with out him, alone without him… man I don’t know what I’d do without you.. thanks buck :) he replies..after buck manages to do what he always does- bring a smile to eddies face.

oliver and tim pretending like this storyline is spontaneously happening episode by episode, like they had no idea what was happening before the episode and no way to know what’s happening after… they’re genuinely so hilarious to me 😭 as if a storyline like this isn’t planned to hell and back!!! they would have us believe buck and eddie are oliver’s and ryan’s alter egos, real people with real lives that we just happen to watch every thursday on abc at 8/7c, instead of two scripted characters with scripted lines and made up feelings and plotted outcomes
