Eddie moves to Texas temporarily to mend things with Christopher and asks Buck to move into his house to take care of it. He agrees, of course and packs his bag once it's time to move in and shows up at the house, only to discover that he isn't the only one there.

Eddie seems to have conveniently failed to mention that he had asked Tommy to do the same and now they are facing each other for the first time since the break-up.

Eddie gives himself a pat on his shoulder for a job well done on his flight to Texas.

Beach Day (🏖️🌊)

(a little scene set five years into the future of Little Blobs verse, inspired by the fact I finally enjoyed a sunny day at the beach after three days of rain lol but you can read it even if you don't know anything about the Blobs verse, it's very independent! Hope you like it ❤️)

He could get used to days like this, Tommy thinks. Both he and Evan had the Saturday off, and whenever they get lucky enough for that to happen, they like to pack up the car and take the twins somewhere. On a warm August day, the choice couldn't have been more obvious, and they've spent a wonderful day at the beach.

It's close to sunset now, and cold winds are ruffling the leaves on the palm trees. Tommy is lounging on a beach chair, with Leonardo cuddled up to his chest, wrapped in his lion towel with a hoodie. Tommy is gently rubbing circles on his back, aiming to both get him warmed up and to take a nap.

He and Evan spent the last hour with both of the kids in the sea, jumping waves, helping them swim and float around, delighting in their squeals as particular high waves licked their faces where they were safe in their dads' arms. But Leo got tired earlier than Stella, so Tommy left with him to get him dried and fed.

Now his boy is happily snuggled up against Tommy's bare chest, the soft ear of his hoodie tickling Tommy's skin. He has an arm wrapped around Leo's waist, and his relaxed breathing makes Tommy peaceful. Leo's always been like this, easy-going and affectionate, and cuddles are his favorite thing in the world.

Evan and Stella had briefly come by to grab Evan's surfboard, and now the two of them are back at the sea. They're closer to the shore than Evan would go if he were alone, and he is kneeling down on the surfboard, his arms steady around Stella's waist as they ride tiny waves, her smile bright enough that Tommy can see it from the sand, her yellow curls flying in the wind.

She waves at him, and so does Evan, their big smiles identical. Tommy waves back, blowing them a kiss, and gently nudges Leo.

"Wanna send hello to Daddy and Stellina?"

Leo turns around, his back now against Tommy's chest, and he waves happily at them.

"Hi Stella! Hi Daddy!" He says, and Tommy's not sure they can hear all the way from the sea, but they wave back enthusiastically.

"Wanna join them, bud?" Tommy asks gently, pressing a kiss to Leo's damp curls, but his son shakes his head, snuggling back against his chest.

"No, Papa. 'm happy here" He says sleepily.

"Me too, Leo-bear. Me too"

Hey you know what sucks is predatory companies that make you enter your email address so that they can harass and advertise to you to access resources you might need to keep track of expenses after a disaster. So, uh, fuck them.

If you need to track the cost of things like hotel stays, pet kenneling, medical care, etc. after a disaster you can use this worksheet.

If you need to create an inventory of your home for an insurance claim (and if you'd like to do this to keep someplace safe before a disaster) you can use this worksheet (two pages, instructions on the first page, worksheet on the second).

And here's a FEMA document with numbers for disaster relief groups and a checklist of documents that you may need to have replaced as well as a description of what to do if you had cash in your home that was destroyed and can possibly be replaced.

Thinking about how Chim probably keeps in regular contact with Eli again after spending all that time living with him in Boston, and how even if we didn’t see it on our screens he was probably at/invited to Chim’s wedding (and of course he came, he’s so happy Howie and Maddie worked things out, he misses Jee-Yun) and how he would be pleasantly surprised to run into Tommy there. He heard about the helicopter adventure, of course, and he’s not surprised that he was invited but he didn’t expect him to be there. Of course Tommy is dead on his feet so they don’t get to talk much, but he notices how Howie’s brother in law is doting on him, and extracts a promise from Tommy to grab a coffee before Eli has to go back to Boston. He notes how free Tommy seems, how much lighter he is. And he’s glad.

Fundraiser Launched

Hello Bucktommy fans! I know there was very recently a fundraiser done over the holiday season. Times are tough, and I understand if it seems too soon to have yet another fundraiser. However, I felt it important to give an easy way to donate to the California Fire Foundation. This is a fundraiser through GoFundMe. Funds will go directly to the foundation.

I set the goal at $1180.

The California Fire Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect. Formed in 1987 by California Professional Firefighters, the California Fire Foundation’s mandate includes an array of survivor assistance projects and community initiatives:

California Firefighters Memorial: The Foundation designed, built and maintains this unique memorial to fallen firefighters at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Every year, the Foundation holds a special, annual ceremony to commemorate the bravery of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Firefighters and Their Families: The Foundation supplies emergency support to departments and families of firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty through the California Firefighters Benevolent Fund and provides educational assistance to the children of fallen firefighters through the California Firefighters Endowment and Daniel A. Terry Scholarship program. The Foundation also provides grants to individuals who demonstrate financial hardship to take the FCTC Candidate Physical Ability Test or written exam, which are the recognized standards for physical and educational testing and recruitment within the fire service.

Victim Assistance: The Foundation’s Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency (SAVE) program brings immediate, short-term relief to survivors of fire or other natural disaster throughout California. Working together with the California Fire Foundation, firefighters throughout California distribute gift cards in the amount of $250 to eligible survivors of fire or other natural disaster, so they may purchase basic necessities such as medicine, food or clothing.

Community Improvement: The Foundation supplies public safety resources, and conducts outreach and education about fire safety issues through its Firefighters On Your Side program. Additionally, the Foundation contributes to other organizations that aim to enhance and improve the communities of California.

“You look chipper,” Chimney says, plopping into the chair opposite Buck. “And there's a noticeable drop in the baked goods department. Used up all the flour or…?” He leaves the question hanging, his eyebrows wagging up and down.

Buck shrugs. “The baking wasn't really helping,” he says.

“But you look better. Less, you know. Like a puppy left out in the rain.” Eddie takes the chair next to Buck and passes a bag of chips to Chimney. Gently, he says, “You're doing okay?”

“Yeah! Yeah, I'm good. I-I'm just… adjusting.”

Eddie exchanges a look with Chimney before he drapes an arm over Buck's chair. “And would this ‘adjusting’ require you to stay out all night?” 

Buck's not fast enough to hide his reaction.

I’m so out of the loop. What happened with the crew?

basically there’s huge wildfires in la and lots of people are getting evacuated from their homes, and other tv shows have stopped production but 911 hasn’t. 911bts said they were ‘actively filming’ with a screenshot from one of the crew at the fox lot:

and then people shit on them saying they were lying and 911 wasn’t actually filming because they assumed 911bts meant the cast was on set (they aren’t). but the 911 crew has obviously been made to stay working and filming. 911bts just doesn’t post their sources sometimes for the safety of the crew.

now 911bts has said they’re not gonna be active anymore, the 911 crew is still on set whilst their homes are practically in flames and this fandom is stupid as fuck.

Renaissance faire meet cute between tavern owner Tommy ("I brewed this ale myself") and a knight ("Sir Evan" he introduces himself as; only later does Tommy hear "Buck" but it's too late, he's registered that cute knight with the bisexual color flag as Evan in his head)

A couple of drunk faire attendants try to harass Tommy's friend's teen daughter and he steps in, and Buck steps in too. Two big strapping guys tend to convince people to back off, especially when one is built like a tank and the other is literally armored

Tommy gives Buck a free mug of ale, and they talk, and throughout the day Buck keeps coming back to the tavern and Tommy watches Buck at the joust

And instead of a girl's handkerchief as a favor, Buck takes the checkered handkerchief in Tommy's apron as his favor and ties it around his wrist

Buck wins the joust and canters over, hopping down to wink at Tommy, then kissing the piece of cloth around his wrist. Tommy can't help leaning over the fence to kiss Sir Evan for real.
