I’m struggling with it though. it’s weird that i’m here to write about it. but tumblr seems like a perfectly pleasant place to go when you don’t know where you should be.

Lover came out today, and you KNOW my ass had it playing at midnight, straight through, tears a’ shedding.

but you know what? it’s incredibly difficult to listen to & completely impossible not to.

you see, the love of my life left me recently. we still love each other--i truly believe we’ll get back together. but isn’t that so sad? isn’t blind hope beautifully terrifying? it’s also just such a classic situation but such a complicated version of it. maybe another time i’ll have the emotional energy left in my soul to explain to you who he is.

 wow. it’s weird to type “you” and not be talking to him. most things I’ve written my whole life had “you” being the person i love. “you” is now either someone or no one who is on my tumblr.

it just sucks, you know? breakups always do. this one is different though.

Cornelia Street stabs me to a physical pain in the worst and best way. the street we lived on together last year easily fits to the verbiage of it nicely. it’s exactly how i feel.

it’s like *i* wrote lover (totally didn’t--not trying to say that, i love tay so much and it’s her work and she owns it and GOD THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY) because it feels like she literally took the words out of my mouth and breath out of my lungs with these lyrics.

it’s just so hard when you want something so bad but attaining it hurts so much. like keeping my relationship and listening to this album.

i’m going to keep listening of course. i guess i’m just hoping i can find the drain in the floor of my room for all these tears i’m shedding
