don't claim to support trans men if you're going to spend all your time arguing with us and policing what terms we're "allowed" to use to describe our oppression. if you were paying attention, you would have noticed we get shut down no matter what term we use.
trans men wanting a a term to describe our experiences does not erase or demean or downplay trans women having their own term.
if trans men tried to decide what terms trans women use we would understandably be told to stfu and mind our business. so stop ignoring trans men and choosing trans women to get to pick our terms.
if you actually care, go help a trans man in need and shut up about transandrophobia

after being in trans spaces for a while i've come to the conclusion that there genuinely is a small but vocal group of people who think trans women get all the 'negative' parts of being seen as a man and all the negative parts of being seen as woman while trans men get all the benefits of being seen as a man and all the 'benefits' of being seen as a woman.
Like there are some who straight up say that:
Trans men are men so don't experience misogyny
Trans men are not seen as men so don't get profiled as violent/perverted
Trans men are men so have rights
Trans men are not seen as men so have freedom to express their gender
Trans men have access to 'male privilege'
And trans men also have access to 'afab privilege'.
Like bitch read your own fucking dissertations you are literally painting trans men as the most privileged gender identity in the patriarchy and only impacted by transphobia.

Also re: the fact it’s normal to have a period of time where you have no friends: sometimes this means no “real” friends aka still have people you know from work, school, family, neighbors, acquaintances, etc etc you interact with but are not close with and couldn’t go to for anything on any deeper level. But sometimes it actually does mean no friends. No social interaction, nobody to call, no other option, don’t talk to anyone for days, don’t know who would find out if you died. The thing is there really is coming back from both of those situations ofc it takes a good deal of work and can feel like pulling teeth to put yourself out there but god it pays off. You can always start over from scratch, and it’s true most people are just as lonely as you are
#tired of people treating having no friends as a moral failure#'if you have no friends it's because you're a bad person“#actually life is just like that sometimes

so idk if this is just something i run into or other people get it too because i don't really see it mentioned or talked about, but there's a degree of "yeah #girl power #feminism" when people perceive me to be a gender nonconforming girl and that enthusiasm evaporates the moment they find out i'm trans and not a girl.
like. i wear a tux for concerts. people who think i'm a girl give me so many compliments and say i'm so brave for wearing it and good for me for making the choice and all that. and then, when I say that I'm trans and my pronouns are they/them and I'm not a girl, they just completely 180 in the enthusiastic support and turn into the fake smile required civil "that's nice," and find the nearest way to exit the conversation.
because there has been a push to expand what girls and women can do. however that support does not extend to saying you're NOT one when they think you should be.
#and when you say some of those people in history are trans men or nonbinary as opposed to women 'fighting the power'#'progressive' people loooove women wearing mens clothes until they learn that woman is (or could be) actually transmasc#to be clear i'm fully supportive if any and all women who fought gender norms#but people love to pretend that transmascs didn't exist#and every example is turned into 'umm actually you're erasing women's struggles'
