I went out on a toy hunt yesterday. I found this at an antique mall. Not quite sure how this is an antique but I’ll take it. If more antiques were like this I’d be a frequent buyer. That place smelled weird. I usually go toy hunting every weekend, would you be interested in seeing more of my pickups? #toycollection #toycollector #toyhunting #toyhunter #monkey #monkeybusiness #monkey🐒 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn_qTLGuaNo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

What a mess. Progress on the hangar. I have not gotten very far, have had a lot of really painful medical stuff going on and at work when I can be. Hoping this weekend it subsides enough I can at least get this to the point that it appears as a fully functional building. For the time being I think I’m only going to be focusing my efforts on making buildings to just try and bulk up Kessho City and actually make it feel like a city. #starwars #thevintagecollection #swtvc #375inch #118 #118scale https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn8-tgHOG3L/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Loading up and heading out. I ordered some stuff from @epikwoodkraft and it is awesome. I highly recommend checking them out and getting some stuff for your own #worldbuilding #118 stuff if you’re into it. Even if you aren’t they are great accessories for 3.75 Star Wars figures. #swtvc #swtvc375 #118 #starwars #toyphotography #scifi #cyberpunk https://www.instagram.com/p/CnnBkleJqYO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I might post some portraits of the figures I have in my collection. Think that would be a fun little project. #starwars #swtvc #118scale #118af #save375inch https://www.instagram.com/p/CnmUgQSLICk/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Trying to make a hangar out of bricks that will house the haslab razor crest is a challenge. I’ve been using the new Lego road plate system as the flooring of said area and today I think I’m going to start building up around the actual area. You can’t see it here because I haven’t snapped a photo of it but I am meshing in one of the joytoy mecha playsets as part of the actual building.
This is part of a project of mine that I am working on of creating a large diorama/playset that is in 1:18 scale, a city that I call Kessho City. Inspired by empire toy works, it’s my take on what he’s spawned on Instagram of a group of people that take 1:18 figures and make playset/diorama worlds for them to live in.
I have torn down and rebuilt Kessho a few times because I was unsatisfied or changed the scale, and one time because I moved! But I’m settled in my new house and I have been slowly prepping and getting ready to start a new layout for Kessho. Now that I’m working less hours at my job, I’ve decided to start now, and this first portion is this hangar for the Razor Crest.
Now, the main challenge here beyond the scope of how massive the build will be to be able to house the crest and still have some extra space for another ship, I need to incorporate that joytoy playset into this as well. This is a lot easier said than done when using brick toy systems with things that just aren’t. The joytoy playsets are somewhat modular with themselves but because they are not in the system the sizing of it is literal centimeters off of being perfect and matching up to the bricks. However, this is what I enjoy doing, solving these problems and making cool toys.
Enough rambling. I’m gonna go start to work on this and planning out how to do it. Honestly, I want to get this hangar done because I want photos of the crest getting used, and getting started on other buildings!

This blog beyond just posting my photography and toys I make, I want to talk about toys and discuss things I have learned and am still learning. There’s a lot of techniques and tips that go into this hobby especially if you are going about it the way I am, so if I can help someone figure something out I gladly will.

To me, the biggest and most easiest access to the toy making scene whether it is scratch building or customs is on Instagram. Which kind of sucks because they are pushing that reel thing so hard. Honestly I wouldn’t even mind it but all the reels they suggest to me are just..mindless garbage. It’s all stuff I would never watch or have interacted with it. All the other posts around it are 100% tailored to me but those reels are just awful. Always obnoxious stuff, really annoying things, weird violent interactions, stupid dances, bad advice, nauseating content that I have actively avoided for years and now it just gets thrown at me every day lol

This recent purchase of mine is by far one of my most favorite action figures I’ve ever owned.
