Sweaty Yeti  Fest -  Febrary 27 - March 1, 2015

1 - A Friday afternoon departure led Spinner and I to Levis Mound to get an early start on the fatbike madness. Our mutual intention to winter camp during the weekend in a large, inadequate structure was amusing and highly anticipated but rapidly thwarted when we awoke to -22 degree temperatures on Saturday. 

2 - One could only hope Darren Braun screams Dio lyrics in his head to psych himself up.

3 - Thank this dude, Gary Barden. He designed this year’s Sweaty Yeti Fest logo for the t-shirt and pint glasses.

4 - Jesse LaLonde is no stranger to Levis and mashing into first place solo.

5 - Smiles for miles as Darren Braun keeps on cranking. When he saw me in the chalet during registration he didn't hesitate in picking me and the chair I was sitting in up for a massive DB hug. It's always a blast when Darren's around. 

6 - Sunday morning servicebeing led by race director Steve Meurett. 

7 - Vivian takes charge therest of the way. She also tore off and spooked a huge fisher up a tree.

8 - Laura antes up first on a fireball pit stop.

9 - Scouting potential rowdyspots for Singlespeed USA Wisconsin. The race is August 8th 2015 at Levis.Check out www.singlespeedusa.com for more info.

10 - Vivian living by her rules on the way home. 

Thanks to Steve Meurett, Levis Mound Trail System, the locals and all the wonderful volunteers that helped make for a great fatbike weekend.
