I am angry and appalled at the renovation of this 1930 Colonial revival in Douglaston, NY. And, they redid the exterior leaving it original, so you think that you'll be walking into a refurbished colonial home. Absolutely diabolical! 5bds, 5ba, 3,019 sqft, $2.999m. They want $3m b/c it's a designer house, now. Look at this.

Gutted, completely gutted. Why did they even leave the Colonial revival exterior and the bump-outs w/window seats?

The fireplace is dramatic, but not for this house. If people want a modern house, wouldn't they want the exterior to look that way, too?

I wonder if that's the original ceiling.

This was originally the sun porch, but it's all open concept now, and still has the colonial style windows.
