HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY BREAK BEATS!
To celebrate have some Fel The Enigma - You Are.
Another New York warrior, little is known about Fel but I do know that he helped out on some of the production for Nuthouse.
Bump this, peace.

Probably one of my favourite songs of all time.
Godfather Don - No Competition ft. Mike L & Scaramanga
Another York rapper from the nineties who pushed forwards an era of hard hitting, dark and grimy hip hop. Notable for his sampling of, what Don calls, "Late night gangster jazz" and his perpetual rhyming style.
Order of verses: Mike L, Scaramanga, Godfather Don.
Other Artists To Look At: Scaramanga, Mega Rat, Kool Keith, Bobbito, Smiff n Wessun

Sole Grunt - April Showers
Hailing from New York, Sole Grunt (who has recently changed his performance name to Sado-San) part of the Group Ragnarok, put this album out last march and has continued to make some ill music in the mean time.
Other artists to look at: Sentry, Ragnarok, Elzhi, Quelle Chris

The 90's was a sick era for hip hop, from all over the united states and even the world. Enjoy Dangerous minded Clik. Peace.

So there are a tonne of these YouTube rappers popping up everywhere, and sometimes I struggle to keep tabs on all of them man. But yeah this kid is called Elzhi and he brings a definite west coast/strong arm steady vibe through the instrumental, and flows like one of them too. Hip hop needs it though, it's been a minute since anyone has done something in this style. Peace.
The cigar is pretty dope too...

Smiff n Wessun have to go down in history as one of best hip hop duos to have ever lived. They dropped the track 'Wreckonize' in 1995 and it mos def holds the same tightness as it did back then. I think it's the killer drum kit in this which makes it such a classic too. Bump this. Peace.

So you all remember Azealia Banks, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea etcetera, well this girl is called Awkwafina and in my book she sinks any other female MC in her genre. Yeah she's taking female hip hop into different lanes, if you like her you have to check out her amazing track 'My Vag'. It's all in the name. Peace.

This Granata kid is pretty dope. I came across him searching through YouTube and I like his stuff. Yeah he carries a pretty new school vibe but still keeps it pretty oldschool with the flow. It also takes a lot for a guy to write about a girl, and I have infinite amounts of respect to any rapper who can do that. Peace.

So my buddy introduced me to The Doppelgangaz today, and man they're so tight. For an eclectic group of individual emcees they flow so well together, each complimenting each others flow. The instrumental is so dope too, got a real chill mellow vibe. So yeah, enjoy this joint, it's tight. Peace.
