I don't want Jily with James constantly chasing Lily around.
I want academic rivals Jily. James and Lily who has been fighting for the top since 1st year. I want Honor Society type of thing. With James asking Lily out in 5th grade to "distract" her on her studies and break the tie between them. But instead it's James who fell hopelessly in love with her. And ended up giving up the spot as Slughorn's potions prodigy to Lily. James who was so happy that Lily graduated as the Top student. But of course we cannot forget the angst when Lily found out about the original plan. And James doing everything just so she'll forgive him, and making a total fool out of himself. Then everyone got tired of the pining and just locked them up in a closet.
