These are the screenshots of my outcomes i have been making with the software i have been provided with at home due to lock down. My initial idea is mainly going to make a label record front cover in my own style or an illustration of my favourite west coast rappers vs my east coast rappers.

Pinterest images
These are the photos i found on Pinterest that i liked and would give me a general idea of what i could do for my final outcome. Although these photos are not not relevant i can do a similar outcome but using the ideas here and put them in mine such as a picture of a rapper and cartoon illustration over it or a black and white record label with coloured shapes over it.

Research to FMP Project: West coast vs East coast Rivalry - The beginning
The East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry was a feud in the 1990′s between artists and fans of the East Coast hip hop and West Coast hip hop scenes in the United States. The two main parties involved were West Coast-based rapper Tupac Shakur and his Los Angeles-based label Death Row Records, and East Coast-based rapper The Notorious B.I.G. and his New York-based label Bad Boy Records. Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. were killed by unknown assailants in 1996 and 1997, respectively.
Origin - Hip hop came around in the 1970′s on the streets of the South Bronx, New York. Powered by DJ’s such as Kool-Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrika Bambaataa, the new genre became popular throughout the city's neighbourhood’s. The New York City area remained at the forefront of hip hop music throughout the early to mid 1980′s and was the home of most popular hip hop acts. In 1986, inspired by Philadelphia-based rapper Schoolly D, Los Angeles rapper Ice-T released the song ‘6 in the Morning’. It is considered by many music writers as the very first gang rap song and assisted with the emergence of the beginning West Coast hip hop scene. A young drug dealer named Eric ‘Eazy-E’ Wright saw the potential profits and fame of the hip hop lifestyle, so he founded the group N.W.A with ‘’Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and Arabian Prince’’. The group released their groundbreaking debut album, ‘Straight Outta Compton’, in 1988, and changed the hip hop genre and cemented the West Coast's appearance in the nation's hip hop scene. Financial issues led to the disestablishment of the group. Eazy-E remained as the wealthy owner and manager of his Ruthless Records label, Ice Cube released a string of successful albums starting with 1990's ‘Amerikkka's Most Wanted’, and Dr. Dre went on to co-found Death Row Records with Suge Knight, The D.O.C. and Dick Griffey. During his tenure at Death Row, Dr. Dre released one of the most influential hip hop albums of all time with ‘The Chronic’ in 1992. The album single-handed revolutionised the G-funk movement. Other successful stars on the Death Row label included Snoop ‘Doggy’ Dogg, The Lady of Rage, Nate- Dogg, and Daz Dillinger and Kurupt of ‘Tha Dogg’ Pound. By the early 1990′s, the West Coast had separated itself as the dominant region in hip hop.
Rivalry - 2Pac vs Biggie
After the release of Notorious B.I.G song "Who Shot Ya?", 2Pac appeared on numerous tracks aiming threatening and antagonistic insults at Biggie, Bad Boy Records and anyone affiliated with them from late 1995 to 1996. Examples include 2Pac’s songs "Against All Odds", "Bomb First My Second Reply" and, most famous, "Hit 'Em Up". During this time, the media became heavily involved and dubbed the rivalry a coastal rap war, reporting on it continually. This resulted in fans choosing sides. Although an official retaliation record was never released by B.I.G., certain lyrics from his catalogue were interpreted by listeners as subliminal shots aimed at Tupac Shakur, in particular, the track "Long Kiss Goodnight". Combs denied these theories, claiming that B.I.G. would call Tupac Shakur out by name if he were to diss him. On 13 September 1996, Tupac Shakur died after being shot multiple times six days earlier in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although the gunman remains unknown, the murder is generally attributed to the South-side Crips street gang, who are believed to have shot Shakur to avenge the beating of one of its members by Shakur and his gang a few hours earlier. Six months after Shakur's death, The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in a drive-by shooting by an unknown killer in Los Angeles, California on 9 March 1997. To this day, both murders remained officially unsolved, yet many believe ‘Suge Knight’ to be involved in the death of both artists.
With this research i can base my final outcome with the rappers feud and do a digital drawing or make my own record label based on East and West coast.

Research to FMP Project: Bad Boy Records
Bad Boy is an American label founded in 1993 by Sean Combs. It operates as an imprint of Epic Records, a division of Sony Music. One of its most popular artists was The Notorious B.I.G. It has been home to many artists, including Craig Mack, French Montana, Mase, Machine Gun Kelly, 112, The Lox, Danity Kane, Day 26, Elephant man, and many others.
The rapid success of The Notorious B.I.G., and Bad Boy as a company, raised some tensions, especially with the Los Angeles, California-based Death Row. For 3 years leading up to 1995, West Coast hip hop, dominated by labels such as Death Row, had been preeminent in mainstream Rap. Suge Knight, CEO of Death Row, held Sean Combs responsible for the shooting death of his friend Jake Robles, allegedly at the hands of Sean Combs' bodyguard. Tensions were heightened when Death Row signed 2Pac, who alleged that Bad Boy, notably The Notorious B.I.G. and Puff Daddy, had been complicit in the November 1994 shooting of Tupac in the lobby of Quad Studios in Times Square.
After the June 1996 release of 2Pac's "Hit 'Em Up", smearing Bad Boy, tensions escalated. 2Pac was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996, and died September 13. Bad Boy issued a statement of condolences. On March 9, 1997, while Bad Boy were preparing the release of The Notorious B.I.G.'s double album Life After Death, he was killed in Los Angeles, California. Their deaths left many to speculate if the coastal hostility had been responsible for their deaths. The police investigations were criticized by public and judicial sources. Both cases remain officially unsolved.

Research to FMP Project: Death Row Records
Death Row (formerly Future Shock and Tha Row) was an American record label founded in 1991 by Suge Knight and Dr. Dre. The label became a sensation by releasing multi-platinum hip-hop albums by West Coast-based artists such as Dr. Dre (The Chronic), Snoop Dogg (Doggy-style), Tha Dogg Pound (Dogg Food), and Tupac Shakur (All Eyez on Me) during the 1990′s. At its peak, Death Row was making over US $100,000,000 a year.
By the late 1990′s, the label began to decline after the death of its star artist, Tupac Shakur, imprisonment of co-founder Suge Knight, and the departures of Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. Although Death Row was enjoying financial success, it was embroiled in controversies, lawsuits, and violence by its artists and associates. Death Row Records filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was auctioned to WIDE awake Entertainment for $18,000,000 on January 15, 2009.

Research to Final Major Project: Eminem vs Nick Cannon
1. Present day rivalry -
Eminem and Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon, and Eminem are feuding again Nick Cannon and the rest of the world thought this beef was squashed in 2009, when Eminem dropped “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” trashing Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon right after they got married. The feud between Nick Cannon and Eminem over their respective relationships with Mariah Carey seems like a tale as old as time, but the decade-long beef has resurfaced in the past several months.
May 2009 - "Bagpipes From Baghdad" This whole story begins back in the day, when Eminem allegedly dated Carey for a brief period of time. Though the chanteuse has denied the relationship, the rapper dropped "Bagpipes From Baghdad" from his Relapse album, calling out Carey and her then-husband Cannon directly. "Mariah, what ever happened to us?/ Why did we have to break up?" he raps before adding, "Nick, you had your fun, I've come to kick you in your sack of junk."
May 2009 - Cannon's Tumblr post In a since-deleted post titled “How Cute,” Cannon wrote that he's "taking full action" on the rapper. "I don’t know why no one has stood up to your b---- a-- yet. But I guess it’s going to take a corny, wack rapping, boy toy from Nickelodeon to set you straight. And trust, I am going to be relentless. Even though I got a lot of other obligations and occupations, you are my new full time job ‘homey’!"."I asked myself should I go find this B---- and just whoop his little a--?" he continued. "Let’s not forget about Eminem’s amateur mix-tape rants of calling African Americans N----- and how he hates “Black B----es”. How did we let him get away with that in the first place?! He is a natural born racist in disguise. Someone tell this coward that he finally barked up the wrong tree..."In November of that year, Carey also retaliated in her own subtle way with her hit song "Obsessed," which was widely believed to shade Eminem. She even dressed like him in the music video.

Final Major Project Proposal
Section 1:
Throughout my experience in Level 2 Digital Arts i have learnt a lot of digital tools and produced many outcomes on software i have got used to and feel more comfortable with such as Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. The processes i have enjoyed the most the most was the Japanese packaging toy design which was made using Illustrator and the gradient tool which allows you to mix colours to look gradient like for our packaging.
The polygonal art i really enjoyed doing which was done on Photoshop by using a tool which allows you to make triangles and fills the colour of the image that you are going over.
And the digital drawing on the magazine covers, also my own digital drawing outcomes which used on Illustrator and was done by using the brush tool and creating different colours for layers. Also i have been making my own outcomes by using pencil and brush tool and copying covers for songs.(underneath Lil Uzi)
The course i have chosen for next year is Level 3 Graphic Design which i hope from this will lead me to progressing on further and to make better outcomes.
Section 2: So far i have not researched much for my theme but as i progress further on i will go deeper into looking at ideas and researching certain themes that should be able to help me produce a really good final outcome. My initial ideas are to do with famous celebrities and rappers and about people such as interviewers and journalists interfering with their life and how it effects and pressures them into and what the audiences reaction of it personally and worldwide on social media.

SWOT
Strength - My strengths are drawing both practical and digital as i am good at drawing. Also my blog work is becoming more developed and i have been making better progress recently and my work has become more better.
Weaknesses - My Weaknesses are probably evaluation and other artists or other work pieces evaluating my work and comparing it to other pieces of work similar to this.
Opportunities - The opportunities i hope the most is trips even though we have but they have only been day out experienced trips to do the with the course. But i have found out in my Level 3 course there is a trip to New York next year so i am looking forward to this opportunity.
Threat - My threats in the way of my FMP will be English and Maths which i still have to do which means i will have less time to catch up and be ahead in directed study so i will have to put as much effort as i can at home and in lessons.
