BASIC INTRO:

finn and his twin were born on a bright but cold, december morning @ nottingham university hospital.

his parents moved the family to hitheside when the twins were a few months old. although the davies parents, LOVE & support their children, they are just never around, they work a lot.

finn and his twin had a lot of babysitters, the pair often had to make their own fun together, playing make-believe, reading books etc.

as they became young adults & didn't need to be watched anymore, the two ventured outside into the real world.

that was it for finn, once he was outside, you had to practically drag him back inside, his mum did that once.

then he went on a school trip abroad to spain & that's when everything changed, finn realised he liked travelling. he was in awe of everything.

fast forward a few years later, finn went on a gap year after finishing college, he went interrailing around europe & he loved it, he didn't want to come home!!

the gap year changed into a gap few years & he just wandered for a little bit, eventually settling down in amsterdam for a little bit. sending his family notes home every once in a while.

but amsterdam was expensive, he only had a job working in an a coffeeshop (you know what i mean xx) so he wasn't earning much.

also his family were badgering him to come home, they missed him. so a couple of months a go, finn moved back home.

finn currently lives with his twin and works at the local indoor arcade at the pier.

he's happy to be back with his twin and his friends, he's missed them all but he does have the itch to go travelling again.

he still goes visiting to different parts of the UK but it's not the same, he doesn't really know how to talk to his sibling about that.

sage seemed to have a knack for finding cute clothes, "HONESTLY i've got no idea! just seems to be my special talent". she studies the t-shirt one last time, "i'm going to get it!" sage turns to face her friend, a look of concern splashes across her face, "hey! don't say that. i'm sure you've got some awesome skills". sage always wanted to support her friends, "ooh we could find something for you, give me a sec".

it isn't anything that cherry would wear —  but, her sad, drab wardrobe is nowhere near as diverse as sage's; think blacks, multiple pairs of the same jean shorts, old, old, old t - shirts that have lost their shape. cherry, watching from an old chair in the shop, remarks, "how is it that you always spot the best stuff?" a sigh. "you've got an eye for this, i'm envious."

sage rolls her eyes playfully at her friend, "i mean you're not wrong. but i couldn't bear to give anything away!" she protests. she just couldn't help herself, whenever she saw something colourful, she just had to have it. "ugh yeah, this is definitely the cutest thing i've seen today" sage pauses looking at it again, "and if i change my mind. i can always stick it on vinted right? i feel like this is a win".

Prevented from browsing in any meaningful way by the pair of coffee cups he’s so dutifully carrying, Alec glances up from his half-hearted inspection of the display of sunglasses in front of him, raising an eyebrow in amusement at Sage and her latest acquisition.

“My thoughts are that you could probably start a shop yourself, with all the clothes you have,” he comments, his teasing easily tempered by the undeniable fondness in his expression, “But if you like this more than any of the other hundred things you’ve picked up and put down so far, you should get it. Life’s too short.” And far be it from him to advise anyone how to spend their money.

sage loved grooves n garmz, it was one of her favourite places in hitheside. if she wasn't working, she was here, hanging out with friends, it was basically her second home. she'd stopped by the store on her own today though, her bother's birthday was coming up and she wanted to get him something nice.

she'd spent half an hour scouring through the clothes section, but she couldn't find anything that she liked. so now she was combing through the vinyls, to hopefully find a hidden gem, but she wasn't having that much luck. she's lost in her own little world, so of course, she had no idea that ricky was behind her and wanting to get past. sage picks up a vinyl and before she can look at it properly, she hears ricky's voice, "ricky" she replies. sage shakes her head absentmindedly in response, "sorry, not yet. i'm still looking"

there  wasn't  anything  else  ricky  could  think  to  do  with  the  few  hours  before  his  shift  at  the  pub  than  browse  the  vinyl  section  at  grooves  n'  garmz,  on  the  hunt  for  any  bargain  rares  that  the  naive  staff  had  unknowingly  undervalued  in  price.  he'd  been  there  around  twenty  minutes  now,  calloused  fingers  flicking  through  plastic  and  cardboard  sleeves,  gaze  so  intently  focused  that  he'd  barely  realised  he  was  sharing  the  small  shop  space  with  fellow  customers—  let  alone  one  he  knew. it  wasn't  until  he  got  to  a  section  where  the  colourfully-dressed,  long-haired  female  figure  stood  that  he  acknowledged  her  vague  presence  before  even  recognising  who  she  was.  just  waited,  painstakingly,  for  the  other  to  move  so  that  he  could  flick  through  that  section.  blue  eyes  only  care  to  glance  when  the  femme  plucks  out  a  record  from  the  crate,  curiosity  getting  the  better  of  him.  jaw  drops  slightly  at  the  realisation  of  what  it  is:  a  1980  first  batch  pressing  of  bruce  springsteen's  the  river.  it's  not  a  want,  but  a  need.  it's  then  that  he  realises  it's  none  other  than  sage  cháng  holding  it. "sage,"  he  breathes,  playing  it  cool.  "do  me  a  favour  and  give  me  that.  please,"  he  asks  calmly,  a  rarity  to  hear  him  use  his  manners,  especially  to  the  girl  he  delights  in  winding  up  just  for  fun. @sagechang

sage was born and raised in hitheside, a summer baby, the youngest member of the cháng family, she has two older brothers.

the cháng family are quite well known around the hitheside area, with her father being a doctor at the local gp surgery & her mother owns a small business, selling her artwork, she paints pictures onto driftwood she finds at the beach.

she's always been quite an enthusiastic and boisterous child. after all, she's had to keep up with two older brothers.

her boundless optimism stems from her mother, growing up, her mother often let affirming sticky notes in her lunch box. overly positive/cheesy affirmations decorate the cháng family home.

sage's older brothers and father didn't really care for the overwhelming positivity, they teased their mother about it. but sage latched onto it.

both of sage's older brothers left hitheside and went off to university, to find their own ways in the world. but sage on the other hand realised from a very early age, that education wasn't for her.

but she had no idea what she ACTUALLY wanted to do with her life. she inherited her mother's talent for art and studied an art course at college for a little bit, but she eventually dropped out.

since dropping out of college, sage was given a year to get her life together, but that never actually happened. her parents eventually realised that it was best to late sage figure things out in her own time.

nowadays, sage floats around, having fun and avoiding her problems, like the fact that she still lives at home or the fact she's been working in her mother's shop for a few years & hasn't found another job.

sage is the first person on the dancefloor, the friend who is always there to give advice, mostly because she's avoiding her own problems, the friend with the loudest laugh, she's always smiling & maybe one day she'll have things worked out!!
