A collection of the things that are on my mind. I either can't or shouldn't say them out loud.

Something I need to get off my chest
It's more apparent than ever that the majority of people in Calgary are morons. They're crying for the province to reopen, complaining that they can't play golf, and hoarding toilet paper like they're going to start printing books on it.
We have elderly people dying daily because of their families visiting them (and ignoring guidelines), people in the homeless shelters getting sick (and possibly dying soon), and nurses and teachers being let go. But yeah, let's get outraged by golf courses being closed. That's the spirit!
What's even more frustrating is that the same people who complain that "we're violating their rights" will also be the first people to cry and complain when the rest of the country says Alberta is filled with hillbillys and rednecks. Do they not realize that they're the reason the rest of Canada makes fun of us? They're there the reason they think we're nothing but a bunch of idiots. Well, we look like it.
When we, as a province, elect someone like Jason Kenney, when we allow him to -actively- crusade against education and health care, when we allow him to hand out government money to corporate interest when people are dying, when the voting public is dying and he does nothing to help, then we, as a province, will be looked at as fools, imbeciles, and definitely rednecks.
There are just so many things to complain about in this province that it makes it difficult to narrow down a single problematic aspect. The people, paired with their generally miserable attitude, the complacency when it comes to the problems around them, and the idiotic behavior of the present provincial government, it's no wonder that we're the laughing stock; they're not looking at Quebec anymore.
What will happen to this rant is one of two things. It'll either get ignored, which is fine by me; ranting into the void is therapeutic sometimes. Or, I'll start getting hate mail and death threats from the "lovely people" who support the conservative movement in Alberta. All that does is prove the point; if you get unbelievably offended when someone tells you that how you're acting is wrong, and your first instinct is to threaten someone, then you're part of the problem.
Rant over, for now. Hopefully.
