This is waaaay later in the manga and you can tell how much Miroku thinks his life means nothing if his friends aren't safe. Miroku looks like such a little boy here. He truly thinks his life is forfeit for anyone in that group, especially Sango. He would happily get sucked in and or let that miasma go straight to his heart

I love the friendship between Miroku and Inuyasha. It's Inuyasha's first male friend EVER and it seems like it's the other way around too. Miroku talked to him about truly wanting to become a demon much earlier in the series and Inuyasha has repeatedly stopped Miroku from overusing the wind tunnel.

It just means so much to me that they have each other. I'm going to expand on their friendship and connect more in my fic too. I go absolutely rapid over them truly acting like brothers, or pack mates.
