Listen maybe I am just an incredibly petty person but I am still so upset you can’t romance anyone else if Solas breaks up with you. Like, the only way not to get locked out of all other romances is to break up with him first, which is a shame because you’re missing out on such delicious potential.

I LIVE for the idea of Solas dumping Lavellan only to have his spies constantly bring back reports of her having moved on with a new love interest. I mean this is someone who prides himself on being so unshakable, so rational and iron-willed, yet hearing stray mentions of “the Inquisitor and her wife” or “the Inquisitor and her husband” sprinkled throughout reports absolutely shatters him. And he can’t even find relief in feeling any way justified, because he ended it. This is supposed to be what he wanted; for her to move on, to be happy, to live well while time remains. And yet…! Beneath all this ageless wisdom and talk of hardened hearts he has to reconcile with this ugly, selfish part of himself that still reels from reports of his spurned lover having found a new heart. 

idk man I just sort of love the idea of Solas getting a detailed weekly play-by-play of a broken Lavellan picking herself up and moving on without him.

Where are people coming up with these “never speaks of it” “never says I love you” “secret visits and small gestures b/c no one must know we are star crossed lovers” headcanons for Solavellan?

Seriously, you kiss the dude ONCE, a small peck, and he comes back at you, with tongue.

The second time you kiss him, he LITERALLY says “I love you”. Way before the Inquisitor can say it back, btw. And I think he says it before almost EVERY other romance option.

He calls you “vhenan” every damn time you walk into the room and talk to him, and he’s sure as shit not whispering it.

When Sera gives him shit over him dating the Inquisitor, he doesn’t deny it or deflect at all. His response is either either “ignore her, love” or “you mad???” (Also with the implication that she’s jealous)

And he’s sooooo enthusiastic about dancing with you at the Winter Palace. Like, REALLY into it.

This is not a dude that’s trying even remotely to be discreet. Or at least, he’s doing a really bad job of it if it’s obvious enough for the gossiping nobles at Skyhold to talk shit about your relationship.
