BooksAndGerms Rating: 4.5/5
Before you continue reading this, spoiler alert! (Just a little hihi)
Back-Book: (Synopsis) Before. “Miles “Pudge” Halter’s whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the “Great Perhaps” [Francois Rabelais, poet] even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, cleve, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. After. Nothing is ever the same.. Highlights:
“Oh God, Alaska, I love you. i love you.” And the Colonel whispered, “I’m so sorry, Pudge. I know you did.” and i said “No. Not past tense.” She wasn’t even a persone anymore, just flesh rotting, but i love her present tense.”
“You can’t just make me different, and then leave.”
“Everything that comes together falls apart.”
“Some mysteries aren’t meant to be solved.”
“I know you loved her. It was hard not to.”
“We had to forgive to survive in the labyrinth.”
“When adults say, “Teenagers think they are invincible” with that sly, stupid smile on their faces, they don’t know how right they are. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are.
Thank you!
This is the story of Miles Halter’s “Alaska-before-and-after-effects.”

Before you continue reading this, spoiler alert! (Just a little hihi)
Back-Book:
(Synopsis)
Spider stew. That’s what Anika is made of. But she keeps it under wraps-one step out of line and Becky Vilhauer. first most popular girl in school. will make her life a living hell.
So when former Logan McDonough shows up one September hotter, smarter and more mysterious than ever. Anika knows she can’t get involved. It would be insane to throw away her social safety for a nerd. So what if that is now a dreamboat and his loner status is clearly the result of his troubled home life?
But who needs him when Jared Kline, the bad boy every girl dreams of. is asking her on date?
Positive: Anika’s character is very interesting and funny. Atleast they’ve bitchslapped Devil Becky in the end.  Negative: One character POV all the way through end. (Anika). The story escalated so quick after the middle pages. Predictable.
Best Scenario: “Ceaseless, Almost too much for this small frame. You make me part of the sky.”-Haiku(Logan McDonough’s letter)
My Synopsis:
This is the story of Anika Dragomir, a girl who needs to choose between the guy who’ve suddenly become the man of her dreams and the guy who’s every girl in town dream of.
