You don’t need a reason to not like a ship.  You don’t need a reason not to ship a ship, canon or otherwise.  You don’t have to prove it’s “problematic” or “abusive” or any of that shit.

You’re allowed to just not like it.  You can literally just say “eh, I don’t like it, it’s just not my thing” and that’s valid.  You don’t have to explain it or excuse it.  Just say you don’t like it and move the fuck on, for fuck’s sake.

Just Sam though? So we're going to forget about Cas? The same Cas that Jack deemed as his Father from the get go? The same Cas that has said multiple times that Jack's being is what gave him a new purpose and outlook in life? I'm not going to argue and disagree that Sam wasn't more amenable to Jack than Dean and that he didn't see himself j. Jack and saw he could be a better person, but to say Sam alone was the only one to put himself on the line for Jack is kinda eh.

All quibbles about the Jack’s practical suitability aside, it’s… pretty fundamentally beautiful that is was Sam who gave him, and the world, this fresh life. It was Sam and no one else whose defiance saved him. Sam saw the child of his worst enemy and didn’t just tolerate him: he fought for him.

Sam stood up to God, Lucifer, and in the end, even Dean, for Jack’s sake. And he was proven right.

I have a lot of complicated thoughts about Sam and Jack, and about the tangled morass of Sam, Dean, and Jack, and about what this ending for Jack implies. But there is something fragile and sad and touching about Sam’s careful, imperfect love nurturing the new God.
