My favorite part is how diametrically opposed they are- Cal maybe doesn’t have enough fear while Bode is drowned by his, Cal has no subtlety while Bode is entirely in the shadows, Cal abandons the safety of his comrades for the greater universe while Bode abandons the safety of the greater universe for that of his daughter, Bode doesn’t talk and Cal doesn’t listen— that makes reconciliation of their goals impossible, but they still both wanted it to work so badly. Can’t get over it.

Oof, yes! We love this too. A good foil goes a long way, you know?

Favorite moment is probably seeing that he had a jetpack and knowing in my bones that he was gonna carry/catch Cal at some point.

I felt v vindicated when it happened I was very invested.

BodeCal Week 2025 Information

Welcome to BodeCal Week! This is a fandom week dedicated to the the relationship we love to mourn, be they lovers, enemies, friends, or some horrible and, let's be honest, totally canon combination of the three.

We will be holding BodeCal week from March 17th through March 23rd this year, and we hope to see all sorts of fanworks during that week and beyond!

The prompts for BodeCal week will be as follows:

These prompts are meant to be starting off points and inspiration. Go wherever the muse takes you! If our prompts inspired your work, it "counts" and you should tag us so we can reblog it.

FAQ and Rules:

The work must primarily feature a relationship between Bode Akuna and Cal Kestis; threesomes and moresomes are accepted, friendship/pre-slash is accepted, post game canon is accepted but the mods reserve the right to be a little upset about the canon in question when we reblog your work. The only rule is that Bode and Cal's relationship must be central.

Works can be in any media. Manips, meta, art, playlists, podfic, fanfic, fanvids, literally anything you can dream up. Just use our prompts as a starting point and let your heart run free.

If you want us to reblog your work, please use @bodecalweek and #bodecalweek2025 to get our attention. We will reblog your work as soon as we see it and we will add it to the post-event round-up.

Our timeline for posting is as follows: we will post each day reminding people of the daily prompt and the alternate prompts, and keep a close eye on our mentions and the tag to make sure we reblog your work. We will continue collecting links and reblogging daily until March 31st, at which point we will post the round-up. After the round-up, we will continue to check for and reblog works for at least a year to make sure everyone gets included, especially those of us who like to take our time. We see you, procrastinators, and we love you.
