A BRAND NEW DOCTOR WHO ORIGINAL COVER! This one is Clara’s Theme, with music by Murray Gold and lyrics by me. Enjoy. xxxx
Impossible Girl (Clara’s Theme)
i woke in the night
saw a world without sky
saw a world without consequence
without you and i
life is a storm
and you weather it well
will you choose to be lightning
or thunder’s black bell
watch me fall
as i tear into pieces
the leaf in the wind
the impossible girl
i know this tale
she dies in the end
press a rose between pages
and read it again
the curtain fell
and i’m lost in space
can the stars hear anything
can they map out your face
watch me fall
as i tear into pieces
the leaf in the wind
the impossible girl
(instrumental)
now run clever boy
and i swear i’ll be fine
i was built to be broken
you were built to be kind
watch me fall
as i tear into pieces
the leaf in the wind
the impossible girl

AT LAST! A NEW DOCTOR WHO COVER! This is the first one I’ve done in about a year, with original lyrics, and it’s especially surreal and cool because this is a cover of the as-yet-unnamed track I originally sang myself in the episode “The Angels Take Manhattan.” Music by Murray Gold, I did the words. I hope you like!
AMELIA (from Doctor Who: “The Angels Take Manhattan”)
The city roof
is tipping down.
The evening’s high,
lights litter ground.
I close my eyes.
I pray to stone.
Do angels weep
when they’re alone?
This is farewell,
the last there’ll be.
My waiting’s done now.
Remember me.
The smoky sky,
the bullet stars…
I walked them once,
They seem so far.
You call my name,
begging me back.
“Remember silence?
Remember cracks?”
Now that i’m here,
Can I just say:
I’d love to come back,
But not today.
This is farewell,
the last there’ll be.
My waiting’s done now.
Remember me.
Somewhere back there,
before the world,
beside a house,
there was a girl.
She ran away -
at least she tried.
He never came.
She never cried.
Since I am here,
May I just say:
I’d love to run now,
but not today.
This is farewell,
the last there’ll be.
My waiting’s done now.
Remember me.
(INSTRUMENTAL)
If stories end,
if we should fall,
we fall together,
or not at all.
This is farewell,
the last there’ll be.
My waiting’s done now.
Remember me.

Here is a brand spanking new (and more importantly CLEAN) recording of “The Doctor’s Theme (Ballad of a Weary Traveller)”, music by Murray Gold and original lyrics by me.
Also: clean recording of “Doomsday” comes tomorrow. :)
Enjoy!
Ballad of a Weary Traveller (The Doctor’s Theme)
what does it take for stars to open wide?
the black against the white, so high
in the sky.
i look for a sign.
a girl, she was mine.
i lost her in time,
lost her in time.
what would you say if i were gone away?
if i had never stayed? it’s okay.
i don’t need nobody anyway.
i walk alone, this starlight empty road.
don’t have no place to go, and so
here i roam.
i look for a sign.
a girl, she was mine.
i lost her in time,
lost her in time.
she was a rose, a blemish on my bones.
she was my only home, and so
here i roam.
i look for a sign.
a girl, she was mine.
i lost her in time,
lost her in time.

Recently, at home alone, one of my favorite stomping Celtic songs came on as I was sitting on the couch trying to design something. I got the urge to move my body as the chorus came on. I am as clumsy as a baby giraffe. "Dancing", as such, isn't a thing I do, because when I try, I feel really silly. Because of this, I almost talked myself out of the urge. But, the music built, and my brain, for once, was giving the limb-numbing depression a bit of a break, so I got up, closed the blinds so the neighbors couldn't see me, and just flailed and spun happily to my favorite dub-step bagpipes while the cat looked on, bemused.
Sometimes the breaks in the mental and physical clouds are the tiniest windows, barely visible, easily ignored. but if you can, let the 'happy' in when it knocks. Let it possess your body and brain for a few minutes. Stomp, and spin, and sing, and move.
