I have a little paperwork tray next to my computer, and my cat will set next to me and scream until I pick her up and her in the tray like a freshly submitted assignment.

She won't settle for food, or for pets, or for being in my lap. She specifically wants to be in the paperwork tray. There's a stapler there, and a charger, and a bunch of lumpy things that would be annoying to sit on, but she insists.

Really, the worst part is already over, which was figuring out what she wanted. I spent months getting yelled at before I figured out that she wanted to be filed. In my defense it's a pretty unusual request.

why do we always have to double down on "omg no guys it's okay selfshipping is just a hobby, I literally have a job and a normal life!" when trolls come at us? why do we need a justification for it to be okay? some selfshippers don't have jobs - some are disabled. some are incapable of work for other reasons (that don't concern anyone). does that make them any less worthy of selfshipping? just because they can't contribute to society in the same way? idk idk maybe I'm just babbling incoherent nonsense.

Fuck NaNoWriMo

It's always been a shit way to write a book. Slamming through fifty thousand words in a month leads to burnout and a garbage draft you'll spend more time unfucking than if you'd actually just paced yourself.

I'm proposing Novel Outline November

Start with your idea on November 1st.

Write something for your novel every day. The only unacceptable amount is 0.

Attempt to complete the plot in 50K words. Stick with that as a limiting factor so you focus on what's most important to your story.

When it's done it's done! Everyone is a winner!

Develop good writing habits

Challenge yourself to write long form

Create a base that can be expanded into commercial fiction (70-100K) or genre fiction (100-110K)

The Wicked promos have reignited my deep, deep love for Oz-ian lore, so naturally I had to combine that with my new love of FNAF…specifically our favorite beloved gangly-limbed sunny-dispositioned celestial robot with the sweet and goofy Scarecrow 💖

Aside from Sun and Moon as the Scarecrow, there is Monty the Tin-Woodsman-Gator, Freddy the Cowardly Bear, Chica the Good Witch of the North, Roxanne the Wicked Witch of the West, William Afton as the Wonderful Wizard, and into the deeper Oz lore we have Cassie as Princess Ozma of Oz
