Since Alan likes fruits, I have a headcanon that he's allergic to pineapples, and Katarina is the one that pointed it out. I imagine they both talked about tropical fruits, and then Alan said, "I don't really like pineapples, they tasted quite spicy," and Katarina is like, "Spicy?"
