Stuck in the storm . Posting Archive’s cause it seems fitting for the situation I just went through & for how the weather in Sydney Currently is . I spoke last night about some stuff I had to handle, I’m going to share it to hopefully help someone else . Monday night I headed out with @vhthomas to shoot some street content, I was tired but okay, we started to walk around looking for places to shoot, I had a few ideas but nothing I really liked, we got to world square and same case again, I tested a few ideas but I couldn’t create anything I really liked, My mind was floating somewhere else and I couldn’t bring it to creating, I began to stress out thinking that I’ve lost my creative side and started to think of past ideas I had come up with and started to be very negative about them . It was alright at first, my thoughts were spinning, but I knew I needed to get home to sleep . The negative thoughts were still there and I started to really go down a rabbit hole of negative thoughts . I got home, the entire time my thoughts drowning out my music, but I got into bed and By the this time my thoughts were all over the place, Thinking things I wouldn’t normally think, okay Shay bed time . I woke up normal, but after an hour I was back in a negative place, all day in the back of my head thinking fearful thoughts, I ended up breaking completely throughout the whole night and getting no sleeping just fearful thoughts, left for work in the morning believing the worst of my thoughts, acting on them . I thought it may of been a anxiety attack so I spoke to a friend dealing with some mental health issues and he helped me out of it . I didn’t know what was happening but hopefully now if it happens to you, reach out don’t get stuck in it, if you don’t have anyone reach out to me, I’m only a Direct message away ❤️ . . . . . . . .

Happiness Equals reality minus expectations . I wrote a little quote last night that @caseyneistat quoted from Elon Musk interview with @joerogan . The two quotes resonated with me, because when I started my photography journey, I would compare my work with others I looked up to, and not meeting their standard would make me hate my work . To this day I somewhat do so, but instead of looking at their shot and trying to compare, I use it for inspiration for my shot . I’ll sometimes see a idea for their shot and merge it into my own idea by using it at another location or by shooting it in another angle or format . This for example is a inspiration from @_tomnoske amazing work that revolves around the amazing sky’s he captures . I’ll stop there but remember that comparing yourself to others will never bring happiness so use others to better yourself, it can be to see what you don’t like and stop doing it yourself or seeing something you like in someone and changing that within yourself . . . . . . .
