Boyyyyyy! I’m rich man. I’m out here making serious bank. I’m making so much money off this tobacco. Only bad thing is, my soil is becoming dogged. I gotta find some new land to grow some tobacco on. I can’t afford to be wasting an opportunity on an easy come up.

When I got to colonies, some older folk took me with them to the western side of Pennsylvania. I lived and worked on their small farm (they were too weak to work on it themselves) until I got enough money to make a house of my own. I just picked a nice looking piece of land and started hammering away. The house wasn’t much but it was real comfy. I started planting some crops and things grew nicely at first, but then everything stopped growing all at once. I found out from a neighbor that after the plants stop growing, I should just pick a new piece of land, build another house and start all over. I really didn’t want to do that.So instead of that, I started making whisky. The people living here suck at making whisky so I’ve decided to do them a favor by selling them premium home-made Scottish whisky. Doing this also saved me the trouble of having to move every time the plants stopped growing. Oh, and here’s a picture of all my whisky barrels.

Religion and Government of the South
As I traveled up from Georgia I noticed that the religions were all the same. Everyone was either a Baptist or an Anglican. I did not expect that. But the Government wasn't the complete opposite but there was a slight change. As I went from Georgia all the way to Virginia it was all a Royal government but once I hit Maryland it changed to a Proprietary government. The difference is that the colonies with Royal government were ruled directly by the English monarchy, and the colonies with the Proprietary government is when the King granted land to people in North America.

Wife and Kids in Maryland
While I was living in Maryland I met this beautiful woman in the center of town. Her name was Elizabeth Smith. We got married within two months and had a son and daughter. My wife didn't have many opportunities for work so she stayed home and did some house chores, she cleaned, took care of the kids, and cooked. Her food was so good. Before my kids old enough to work they would always have a great time with their friends. They would jump rope, bob for apples, or even play hide and seek. My life with a family was more than I could of asked for.

MOVING DAY
As life for me in Georgia wasn't going so well, I decided to move north to Maryland. When I got there they let accepted me with open arms even the descendants of Maryland's founder George Calvert welcomed me.I needed a job right away, I had a few choices of labor. I could of been a farmer, trader, shipbuilder, fisherman, or a slave buyer. But there was one that interested me the most and that was to be a hunter. I always wanted to learn how to shoot a gun. But I learned very quickly that hunting wasn't as cool of a job as I thought. Sometimes you would have to sit there for hours before you could get an animal to come by. OH MAN did that hurt my knees real bad.

Society in The South
For as long as I lived down in Georgia I realized that as slavery spread through the south, the gaps in the Social Structure grew. It is about the same as the earlier days with povery and disease. Many of the great planters had lots of slaves and vast domains of land. But the "FFV" or the "First Families of Virginia' the Fitzhughs, the Lees, and the Washingtons possessed the horizonless tracts of Virginia real estate. They also dominated the House of Burgesses. Before the Revolutionary War 70% of the legislature was the "FFV". But as usual the slaves were enchained in society's basement.

Entry to the Southern Colonies
After a year long travel from England to the unclaimed land of the southern part of North America,we finally made it. Since like I said it was not claimed James Olgethorpe and I claimed it for England. The first city that we had created was named Savannah. And eventually after talking to James we came up with a name for the colony. We thought of our king, "King George II," so we called it "Georgia". And according to my knowledge we were the first new colony in five decades.
