its weird seeing the gradual decline of how good people think side order is over the last few weeks. im seeing it in myself too it was kinda just nothing. most we got was pearlina (no explicit confirmation, i feel like the rap battle song did more to confirm it), agent 4 speculation, and White Acht

#side order was a Good dlc but it wasn’t Great #octo expansion was Great. everybody wanted it to rival OE if not surpass it and it didn’t come close to either #the worldbuilding in SO is really interesting but isn’t enough to carry it #OE was (imo) a little weak in the way of level design because it was essentially a reskin of a story mode #but the way it told it’s story is what made it so incredible #the characters you meet and the chat logs and the world you become a part of is captivating and that’s what you remember #SO did an okay job at this. the worldbuilding is very interesting and meeting dedf1sh is really neat but there’s nothing there that really #makes you want to care about the world #this is probably also caused by the lack of consequence in the game but if you’re not already invested in the story there’s nothing #that makes you want to know more. it doesn’t hook you like OE because you’re playing to finish the game #not to experience it #at least in my opinion #idk LOL #side order #octo expansion
