My life changed dramatically when Israeli military launched a sweeping war against Gaza. My home and our neighborhood in the North have been destroyed along with our belongings and precious memories early in this crisis.😢💔

My job and my husband's job are gone. Israeli military forced us to evacuate from the north Gaza to the south where they claimed it would be the safe zone but it is not at all. Our sweet home and neighborhood have been destroyed 😥😭💔

Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water. I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairly 🥺😣

The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysia🍉💪. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings 😭💔

Updated scam alert

So, as some of you guys know, I've received an ask from a known scammer a few weeks ago. Since I found their main post reblogged by 300 or so people, thinking they were helping a palestinian diabetic lady, I made a pinned post (this one) and warned everyone.

At some point this week, that account has been banned (or deleted), to my great dismay (the best vaccine against this kind of thing is letting victims know, since these scammers will just make new accounts); however, I found out that one of the names used in one of the many of his PayPal accounts has also been used in (as of today, 11/23) gladysconnoisseurpost thanks to this other post!

I already added that new piece of info in my old pinned (the one linked above in pink), and just today I received this ask on anon - worded very similarly to this other one that I got (off anon!) immediately after I called him out the first time.

So, in short: it's clear it's the same person again, there are sources to prove my point in the first link, there's one more here (el-shab-hussein saying it's a scam), thus I'm resuming my little hobby here.

-read the post in the first link. I'm basically doing the same thing, just with another post since it's about a different account and it could cause confusion

Something something Luffy laughing through his teeth (shishishi!) as if it's spilling out of him, something too great for his body to contain rushing up and pushing its way out through the cracks in his teeth vs Joyboy's laugh being a traditional hahaha that demands an open mouth and throat and lungs, the kind of laugh that's all percussion and booming air, unrestrained and uncontained and free

Also something something Gear 2 (which is Luffy making his heart beat faster and louder as he circulates blood more quickly through his body) making his body heat to the point of steam rising from his skin, and Gear 5 using the Gear 2 pose and making his heart beat the Drums of Liberation and condensing that steam into clouds, and shishishi being a hissing sound like steam escaping through a vent, and the prevalent themes of fire and heat and the way steam only makes that kind of noise if it had been under extreme pressure and how that pressure is usually caused by high temperatures

Something something Luffy swallowed the sun as a child and it sits burning in his belly and he laughs like steam hissing its way out of a vent because his joy is that of a god's and his body is a very small vessel for such awesome power

And something something I don't really have anything coherent to say here this is just me wildly overthinking and drawing connections where there probably aren't any but like you get it. The themes.

I want to see more Luffy as an almost cryptid-like figure, leaning into the fact that he's actually kind of scary and unnerving. The strange boy in an unassuming straw hat whose smile is too wide and full of teeth, always spreading across his face when he should be running in fear. Wild black hair and dark eyes that stare straight into your soul. A laugh that's born of pure delight but sounds like the dangerous cackling of a madman, making you question What He Is. A creature who can take any shape and size, who appears in places he should never be, and when faced with death simply tells it no. Threats make him grin and drawing his blood seems only to make him stronger. Always, always hungry, and loyal to those who feed his gaping maw. A harbinger of chaos everywhere he roams, as though he were its patron saint. Luffy is actually terrifying and I need that to be acknowledged.
