Left: Giorgio de Chirico, The Song of Love, 1914
Right: René Magritte, La mémoire, 1948
When the poet Marcel Laconte showed Magritte a copy of Giorgio de Chirico's "Love Song," Magritte was moved to tears and said, "This is the most moving painting of my life. This was the most moving moment of my life... I saw 'thought' for the first time.

A nice little behind the scenes of making the miniatures in Wes Anderson's latest, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. Built at The Prop and Model Maker Berlin workshop.
Btw, I probably enjoyed these Roald Dahl/Wes Anderson short films more than either French Dispatch or Asteroid City (although the latter comes close).

From Francesca Woodman’s series “Space Squared, Providence”, 1975-1978.
I wonder if these could have been an inspiration for the Glass Box in Twin Peaks: The Return.

The White Stripes: A best of
I did a thing in honor of the WS’s upcoming greatest hits LP - I’ve compiled my own tracklist. Between #14 and #15 would make for a nice A-side/B-side split on vinyl :) I tried to showcase their hit singles, keep up a tonal variety throughout, as well as have the songs flow nicely into one another (also tried to have the order be at least slightly chronological - i.e. first three LP's mostly in the first half, last three LP's mostly in the second). They were one of the most seminal bands for me at a young age, so this was fun to make!
1. Let's Shake Hands 2. The Hardest Button To Button 3. The Big Three Killed My Baby 4. Stop Breaking Down 5. We're Going To Be Friends 6. Truth Doesn't Make A Noise 7. Jolene 8. The Denial Twist 9. Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground 10. Hotel Yorba 11. Fell In Love With A Girl 12. As Ugly As I Seem 13. You're Pretty Good Looking (For A Girl) 14. Blue Orchid 15. Icky Thump 16. Catch Hell Blues 17. Apple Blossom 18. Little Room 19. Rag and Bone 20. Ball and Biscuit 21. Black Math 22. My Doorbell 23. Effect And Cause 24. Death Letter 25. I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself 26. Seven Nation Army
