Small note from Admin C

Hey guys, Admin C here. 

Admin J is having some issues with wifi and such so they haven’t really been around this past month. Incredibly sorry for the inconvenience.  Since I am very busy with OOC matters involving school, work, etc. I cannot assume the role of admin fully, so I will be lurking here and there just to make sure everything is ok. But as always, you’re free to roleplay however you would like here just as you have in the time that there wasn’t anyone actively around! 

Blacktides was originally created for rpers to write with others with minimal restrictions so long as writers keep OOC drama away from here.

Msg to In-house members: Directory Sweep & Possible Revamp

If you wish to remain in this directory, please make sure you respond accordingly to the poll created in the ‘announcements’ group BY 07TH OCTOBER 2017.  Those who do not respond to the poll by then will be removed!

Since I am trying to “start fresh” here, I will most likely be giving the directory a little makeover. I’m not 100% sure yet since my sched is a little tight until late-october afdasdfa.. 

Are you currently taking NEW applications?

We are always accepting, however, if there is someone on the masterlist you are interested in earlier, I would wait to apply until a removals post is posted onto this directory!

Is this still an invite-only rp?

For now, it is. Since I am technically the only one who can man the tumblr and Facebook at the same time despite my busy schedule. But in the future, I may change my mind!  

Do keep in mind that if you were a member at this rp at some point, but had left or were removed, you are welcome to rejoin!

Transfer of Powers: Please, Welcome Admin J.

Hey guys, due to personal reasons, Admin C is stepping down from her position as ‘head admin’ and has passed the torch over to Admin J. He will be your main contact and will be the admin you see the most.

Admin C will still reside within the roleplay but will only make an appearance when Admin J becomes too busy, requests her assistance, or during activity checks. Admin N has stepped down completely due to personal reasons as well.  With that being said, this roleplay will officially be under the direction of Admin J on 23rd of August

Our directory is still alive and well!

So we’ve received a few of the same messages in our inbox these past couple of days and yes we are still alive! Our posts on the main tumblr itself is a little sparse, but we are still here. It’s just we don’t post rp ads or anything outside of acceptance/rejected applications and the occasional ‘this person has left’ posts since we are an invite-only rp, which brings me to my next point!

Can I still join even though it’s an invite-only rp?

We have made some exceptions for those members who /really/ want to become part of our small community, but do not have anyone within the roleplay that can vouch for them! If you are one of these people, please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested. We would be more than happy to work something out!

Activity check 2 under-way!

Our second activity check since opening is currently in progress and will end on 17 August 2017 at 11PM CST/GMT-6.   Unlike it’s stated in the rules, we WILL still be accepting applications for new members during this time since we are a small community and it’s manageable! Hey, Anon!

I’d say this rp is less crack and more writing-based.  Most people mirror what they’re given so the more you give, the more you’ll get back.  From what we’ve seen most people like to use:

SNS posts  / KKT / SMS

to lead to some sort of meet up or just quick interaction.

to greet new members who your muse may not be well-acquainted with just yet!

SEMI-PARA / PARA

I’ve seen some of these threads lurking around.

LONG-ACTION / SCRIPT-WRITING

This is another common one i’ve seen

All in all, it’s a preference type thing. Some members enjoy writing using para, others prefer long-action/script-writing because it’s faster and they can respond quicker??

But you’re not limited in how much you write here which is why we labeled it as ‘mixed-literate.’
