Besties: Q & PEEM (PHEEM TO ME)

These two warm my heart. In We Are they play best friends. They go to one another for advice. They share Pheem's bed with their other 3 besties (TAN, CHAIN & PUN) They are each other's voice of reason. They are both fine art students.

Seeing them together always make me think of Pattawee and Fish Upon The Sky.

Winny cast as Pattawee and Phuwin actually playing the role. Golf (FUTS Director) re-routed the cast planting Winny in a support role (removing him from lead role) and placing Phuwin (he had a support role) in a lead role alongside partner NARAVIT LERTRATKOSUM aka POND)

But in the phenomenal series WE ARE these two are each other's ride or die. And it works. And it works well. Have they (GMMTV) created another SHIP for Phuwin. A FRIEND (SHIP) because I'm loving WINNYPHUWIN as a FRIEND (SHIP) they are 🔥🔥🔥

The Finale (Episode 8)

Guy's Friend and Former Crush Wahl

Wahl (TANATAT KUNANEKSIN aka WINNER) was the antithesis of a friend. He knew Guy (KRITTANUN AUNCHANANUN aka PING) liked him, he thrived on it.

His jealousy of Guy moving on and doing everything he could to give Guy false hope was sickening.

But in the end. Wahl became the friend he should have always been. Allowing Guy to move on.

In his defense Wahl probably doesn't know himself or what he wants so ultimately he isn't a bad person but good for him for being human in the end.

Side Note: Winner will star in his own BL in the My Universe Anthology Series. His 2 episodes will be called I WISH YOU LOVE and will be the the final story. And of course BL fans remember his run on NITIMAN.

Day (TAWINAN ANUKOOLPRASERT aka SEA) is full of anger over more than just his circumstances of losing his sight. In need of a cornea transplant he needs a caregiver.

His mother Ramon (PREMSINEE RATANASOPA aka CREAM) wants his brother Night (PAKIN KUNAANUWIT aka MARK) to be his caregiver but Day wants nothing of it.

Day cherishes his mother but hates his brother but Night gets Mhok to reconsider being Day's caregiver. Yet I still want to know why Day hates Night? Is Night somehow responsible for Day's suffering?

Noey and His Best Friend Thiw and The Watphlu Gang

Even if they were involved in violence the friendship Noey experienced with his self titled gang was unbreakable even when Noey broke it.

At Thi's urging for Noey not to be a thug and with the stabbing of Auntie Tim, Noey ended his gang.

But when Thi's parents made Noey feel he wasn't good enough for their son. Noey reluctantly broke Thi's heart.

When Noey went to apologize to Thiw (TANAPAK JONGJAOPHAR aka OHM) he readily accepted.

Thiw stood by Noey as he pursued Pam even though she wasn't interested. And when Noey fell for his college tutor (a guy) though stunned Thiw stood by his best friend as he pursued his tutor. That's a true friend.

Phumjai and His Ride Or Die Friends

Phumjai (KANTAPON JINDATAWEEPHOL aka OFFROAD) is ecstatic to realize his dream of being with business partner Yang.

But while his own happiness is flourishing he can't help but notice the sadness of one of his best friend's Tag (CHETNIPAT LOHAGAROG aka OHM)

So, he along with other best friend Odo (SAMUEL DAPRADIT AKUBIA aka SAM) check in with Tag.

They let him know they love him and that no matter what they're always on his side.

LOVE IN TRANSLATION (2023, THAILAND)

Phumjai's Big Brother Phojai

In Episode 6, a lot was going on. Yang (PITTAYA SAECHUA aka DAOU) aggressively pushed Phumjai (KANTAPON JINDATAWEEPHOL aka OFFROAD) away.

He had his reasons and that was Phumjai's safety as suddenly a man called Yang and threatened him.

But Phumjai having decided to choose Yang over Tammy was completely devastated by Yang's sudden change of heart.

Enter Big Brother Phojai (ANUPART LUANGSODSAI aka NGERN) seeing his brother's light dimmed even though he claims he's fine. He hugs Phumjai and offers support and an ear with a promise not to scold. Phumjai breaks down in his brother's arms. And Phojai cries right along with Phumjai.

Off camera Phojai suggest Phumjai withdraw his shares in The Little Sun and leave Yang behind with the promise that Phojai would find Yang a new partner as soon as possible.

The next day Phojai brings Phumjai to work for one last day even having a private talk with Yang in an alleyway restaurant near The Little Sun.

OUR DATING SIM (2023, SOUTH KOREA)

Shin Ki Tae's Best Friends From High School

In Episode 7 of this phenomenal KBL Shin Ki Tae (LEE SEUNG GYU) went to a bar with the friends on the rooftop when Lee Wan confessed to him (well he sent them away as Lee Wan wanted privacy) years later after being reunited with his Lee Wan, Ki Tae gets together with Kyung Wu (LEE JEONG CHAN) & Jin Seok (LEE JUNG IN) to catch up and talk about stuff including Lee Wan. Though Ki Tae did not reveal the nature of his relationship with Lee Wan.

Though they did trash talk Lee Wan (a tiny bit) as they saw what Ki Tae went through after Lee Wan's disappearance.

Nanfah's 2nd Best Friend...though he wanted more.

After Phu just couldn't confess and his heart was torn to shreds because of it, he made a choice to abandon his best friend and forever crush Nan (WATTIKORN PERMSUBHIRUN aka KIAK) for a decade. Though friends since childhood, high school and college that can't be erased.

As a working as adult Nan met a man that did not replace Phu but he did become a special part of Nan's life. Even (like Phu) falling in love with Nan. But with Nan unable to let go of Phu even after learning the truth years later about Phu's abandonment, Nan could not stay angry with Phu.

Though permanently friend zoned. Party (THAWATCHANIN DARAYON aka BOSS) even after Nan's rejection was always there for Nan and surprisingly Phu.

Not the best BL out there but... Rak (MONTREE PATTARACHITPHINYO aka KONG) is the bunny cute university student betrayed by his boyfriend Mek and his best friend Kram who cheated together.

Rak succinctly cut ties and changes schools to be close to a possible new love interest Dino.

And his new friend is the scene stealing Chalarm (KITRAWEE JIANGTHANAROJ aka MOS) the gorgeous tall chronic fatigue syndrome like slow talking omelet loving new bestie.

As time moved on with a new cast Phana (BENJAMIN BRASIER aka BEN) realized his teasing the science moon candidate Yo (TEERAPAT RUANGRITKUL aka DIN) was that cute boy with the glasses from high school that captured his heart.

And his friends Dr. Kit (KORNCHID BOONSATHITPAKDEE aka NINE) and Dr. Beam (WORANART RATTHANAPHAST aka DOME) were there to hold him up (figuratively speaking of course) when he spied his tease target with the glasses from the past.
