The Harm of Comparison
Tumblr media
As I am writing this, I’m realizing that I have always compared myself to other people, especially other young women like myself. Today while I was opening up to a friend, I told her that even though I know it isn’t true, I still believe that everyone and their mom has their sugar-honey-ice-tea together way more than I do. I think every girl that passes me by looks as pretty as they do today, EVERYday, dresses as put together as they do today EVERYday, has friends to see a movie with when work is over every Friday, has money to buy the amazing clothes, cars, and hair products that they have as often as they need to purchase them, etc. Therefore, they are doing much better than I am... IN LIFE. However...
Tumblr media
Fact: Yesterday I stopped this gorgeous girl and asked her where she got her pants. She told me she got them from Goodwill.
Fact: Usually, people my age that have cars and money for groceries either work so much that they can not keep up with classes, or their parents pay for everything.
Fact: Everyone feels the way I do at some point in their lives, especially young women. Someone might even think that on the outside, I have everything well in order. HA!
SAAYY WHAAAATT?!?!?
Tumblr media
Yes. Facts.
Finally, something I realized is that comparing myself to others disables me from achieving my goals. When I think that I’m looking up to people and setting examples for myself for inspiration, what I’m actually doing is damaging my self confidence. The result of THAT is I completely discourage myself and suddenly my goals become unattainable...not because they are, but because I tell myself that I can’t reach the same level of success as my colleagues or my peers. My conclusion is that if I stop comparing myself to people, the result will be that my goals will actually become more achievable because I am solely focused on myself and what I need to do in the present to reach the heights that others have peaked. No person starts off their career as a professional, nor achieves their unique clothing style without trying on all different sorts of clothes on over the years. No one learns how to ride a bike one-handed without falling once, and not anyone I know feels that there is no room for improvement in their lives in SOME area. We’re all just at different levels, we’re all on different paths, and our journeys are totally unique.
Comparison Works the Opposite Way You Want it To

New Art
So...
I made some new art to add to my trippy, self-reflective project today and I’m super excited about what I have created!!! Here are some snippets!
Tumblr media
This one is called My Head’s up in Flames because...well it is. Anxiety is a debilitating disruption in the thought processes that run through my mind every day from the time I wake to the time I go to sleep. How my head feels is similar to the chaos you can see in this collage. The high brightness is totally intentional just in case you were wondering. This piece HAS to be uncomfortable to accurately express how I feel.
Tumblr media
I think it’s quite clear now that I am completely obsessed with working with surrealism and collages. They just work together so well to create the emotions that I’m am finally learning I should surrender to in order to find an outlet to glorify them with. I mean, Starry Eyes can Cry too can they not?
Tumblr media
So far I’ve been keeping this pattern of incorporating outer space landscapes and daisies in my pieces. I’m challenging myself to make each piece super unique regardless of the fact that they share many of the same elements: Women, the universe, and flowers. Maybe, I’ll give a rose or a lotus a try in my next piece ;)
The end for now...
- Bianca, still trying to be positive. I think I’m getting there.

Fiiitttnnnessss and Trippy Art
So...
today is day 2 of me blogging randomly to myself. I’ve started exercising again which feels amazing. Right after work I have a yoga session and then when I get home, I’m going to go insane with my new resistance bands. The goal is looking as fit as this majestic being right here.
Tumblr media
It...
is perfectly okay to have a person you look up to for inspiration. It does not take away from how you feel about your own worth. I love my body, but I would like to be a little more fit, so I look up to Deonna_D because she starts a routine and she sticks with it. I lack that kind of discipline, therefore I see her as a role model because she is someone I’d like to be more like to better myself. If you can find someone like that, by all means follow them on social media for inspiration. Ain’t no shame!
In...
other news, I made some trippy art recently. I won’t post any onto my portfolio until a have at least six images ready. I think the theme here is what kinds of things happen when my mind goes numb. When I’m overwhelmed, I enter a world where colors blur and reality fails to follow scientific guidelines. Here’s the one I have finished already. I need to find time to finish the rest. I’m starting to kind of love making art centered around my emotions and experiences in a surrealistic way, because my experiences are exactly that.
Tumblr media
I...
like to think that the main woman in the image is being comforted by many other hers in a lonely, lovely kind of experience. Or maybe they’ve come to take her back to space, where she always knew she belonged after all.
Anyways, try a yoga class if you haven’t already. Especially restorative if you have some built up stress. They’re incredible. As always, stay positive as much as possible so that you can live life to the fullest as much as you can.

I don’t know what my life is right now...
Tumblr media
Today...
I start a new journey. I’m making plans and I’m sticking to them. This past weekend, I sat in my bed in deep thought and realized that I don’t care much for the direction my life is going in. I’m doing fine, according to society and my family and peers. But can I say that I’m truly satisfied in every area of my life? I mean, who is totally in love with every single aspect of their life? I’m not sure that anyone is, or can be, but I there are definitely some things I can change to make life 100% more satisfactory for myself. This a selfish post from me to me, but if it can help anyone that is experiencing what I’m going through, then I’m glad.
So half the time, this girl right here is me.
Tumblr media
Some questions I find myself asking myself are:
Why the f*** are you in this major?
What are you doing right now that will help you get a job when you graduate?
What do you really want to do every day?
Do you even know? CAN YOU EVEN KNOW???
Aside from a profession, who do you want to be right now?
What is your intuition telling you? Are you listening?
There...
are so many things that I’d like to start doing right now without a shadow of a doubt, but the reality is that I can not do everything. Being a full time student who works part time is already a handful, and I should give myself much more credit for the things that I AM able to do. I can’t travel to Europe or Asia right now. I can’t buy a new car that doesn’t constantly break down on me nor can I fix everything that’s wrong with my current car (who I love dearly).
But I CAN start eating healthier so that I have more energy throughout the day.
Tumblr media
I CAN start saving up money for whatever adventure I get to partake in even if it’s years from now that I get to partake in it. I can even find cheaper, more local places to travel to first.
Tumblr media
I CAN stop comparing my lack of success to people who have more opportunity and resources than I do. Also, I’m pretty damn successful for a 22 year old I’d say.
Tumblr media
I CAN create a convenient workout plan that fits into my schedule if I really want the body I say I want.
Tumblr media
I CAN get better at shooting photos and taking videos if I just freakin’ practice!
Tumblr media
I CAN start reading books on massage and aromatherapy if I am really interested in those subjects. I CAN, I CAN, I CAN !!!
Tumblr media
We may not have control over everything in our lives, but there are some small steps we can take to make life a little more worth living wouldn’t you say? I’ll end this post on a positive note. Don’t forget to tell the universe what you’re grateful for before you shut your eyes tonight, and I’ll remember to do the same. Here’s a link to some really relaxing advice you can consider while you shower tonight or tomorrow morning.

Project #4:IDENTITY ZINE- Putting it All Together
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Process
For Project #4, the most important step was finding inspiration. Finding images of other artists’ zines and of concepts and art styles I love was a must.
With the help of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, I created a series of surrealist collages using photographs I took myself, and images I found online.
Experience
Being a part of a digital design class has been an awesome experience for me. Not only have I learned a lot about digital art and its intentions, but I have also learned about other art forms, I’ve learned new ways of getting inspiration, and I’ve learned a great deal about myself as an artist and as a person.
Questions:
What were your favorite & least favorite projects & why?
My favorite project was the video project using Premier Pro. I had so much          fun participating in the scenes I used to make my video.
Which project(s) were most successful & why?
The collage project was the most successful for me because I illustrated              exactly how I felt using the program I know the best.
What did you learn about digital art this semester?
I learned that digital art is dynamic, and that being a digital artist is not only          rewarding but fun too.
What more would you like to learn about digital art?
I’d like to continue looking at other artists’ work to see what else can be done       with digital art.
How has working with a computer as your medium enhanced your creative practice?
Working with a computer has encouraged me to find inspiration online which        has broadened my interest in design styles and different art forms.
How does your final book relate to digital art & what does your overall design say about you?
My zine consists mainly of collages created with digital art editing                         applications. Overall, my zine and my Tumblr show that I am a surrealist             artist with complex emotions.
How does the overall book design relate to the design of your online Tumblr portfolio?
My book design explores SOME parts of my identity, while my logo and               cover explore other parts. My Tumblr and zine are both mysterious.
How do they accentuate each other?
Like I mentioned earlier, my Tumblr layout and my zine are both mysterious.       Neither one make perfect sense just by looking at them.
What grade do you expect on your final project & why?
I expect to receive an A or a B because I was asked to explore my identity           and illustrate aspects of me in a creative way and that’s exactly what I did.
What grade do you expect in this course & why?
I expect to pass with a B because of how much I have improved throughout         this semester.

Reading #5 : MY CHOICE
Tumblr media
Modern Surrealism and How It is Used in Design Today
Written by Editorial Team
“Surrealism is said to be the symbolic language of the subconscious.”
- Salvador Dali
     1. Why did you select this reading?
I chose this article because I am obsessed with surrealism and I wanted to know more about its most famous producers.
Salvador Dali is a well known surrealist artist. Fun fact, believe it or not, this image was shot live.
Tumblr media
This was achieved within 26 attempts and 5 hours. Philip Halsman would count to four, where Dali would leap into air, and three assistant will throw the cats, another will throw a bucket of water, and Mrs. Halsman held the chair. Now, you can easily use Photoshop to put something like this together.
 2. Why do you feel it is important to share it?
I think it’s important for the art community to have a conversation about surrealism because of what it contributes to the digital platform.
Personally, I have found surrealism to be medicinal. There are artists who use surrealism to talk about important things like depression for example. I think that surrealism is the perfect medium to describe a feeling that doesn’t make much sense. Depression is difficult to explain especially since different people experience it dissimilarly. When someone who is depressed sees a surreal photograph that has been manipulated using Photoshop or Illustator that they can relate to, they may not feel so alone anymore.
Tumblr media
Surrealism helps us to articulate things that don’t quite make sense.
     3. How has it affected you?
I have been a confused artist forever. I know I want to make art, but I don’t know what to make. Now that I’ve seen what can be done, I know exactly what kind of artist I want to be. Through surrealism, I have learned so many things about art, and about myself.
Now I can combine the three things I love. Artistic freedom, digital photography, and digital manipulation.
Tumblr media
The beauty of surrealism is that you can let your imagination wander into the depths or your emotions. It’s the perfect release.
 4. Has it changed your perspective in any way? If so why?
This article has only spiked my interest for the surrealist art form even further.
I used to think that as an artist, you had to work under one million and one constraints to please people who look at your art work. In the past, I would put my art work down when someone did not understand it. Now, I feel like I can be my complete artistic self and be content with the idea that I understand my work.
     Key Points
The article I found mentioned a sort of dreamlike nature that’s involved in surreal work. I think that it is the ultimate challenge to make your dreams come to life, and any medium that encourages that is awesome.  Surrealism continues to help bring out feelings hidden in the subconscious ‘til this day, and has only taken new forms with the advancement in technology. It encourages modern artists, the same way it encouraged past surrealists like Dali and Kahlo, to be their full creative selves.
Past surrealism art has influenced modern digital art tremendously. Now, you can find surrealism in web design, photography, videography, etc. Today, unlike in the past, we can use applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator to distort and alter photos, and videos.
Tumblr media
This is an example of a manipulated, surreal photo.
Tumblr media
This image has many dreamlike qualities.
You can find the article I’ve been referring to here!

Assignment #4: Show Me What You Know
Elements and Principles
For this assignment, I experimented a lot with different values. I learned in 2D Design that when you desaturate, then posterize an image in Adobe Photoshop, you can manipulate the values as much as you’d like.
One of my favorite things is nature, as you can see by the natural landscape I chose which has a wide open space. Besides the beauty of park itself, what stood out to me was the use of line to create rays of sunlight on the grass.
By making the bed bigger than it should really be in this kind of setting, not only does it add the element of surrealism to the piece, but emphasis is also created on Halle Berry on the bed.
Concept
I chose and found a natural landscape because of my love for nature and added in an image of a person, and an image of a bed to make a digital collage using Adobe Photoshop.
I decided on actress Halle Berry as my favorite person because she is an amazing actress and a strong black woman who inspires women like me to be the same.
My favorite place is my bedroom because it’s cozy, relaxing, and it’s a place where I can always be myself.
This piece is expressive. It is meant to come off as a relaxing piece that expresses my idea of comfort.
My design combines my knowledge of Elements and Principles with my successful manipulation of them to my liking. Also, it shows my improvement in Adobe Photoshop editing skills when it comes to taking what I need from images, and placing them elsewhere as well as using the spot healing tool to take things out of photos that don’t match my concept.

Reading #4: Beyond Pong: why digital art matters by James Bridle
Tumblr media
Bangladeshi citizens stand up for mistreatment of garment factory workers. Read about this image here!
Digital Art as a Reflection on Modern Politics
In the article, “Beyond Pong: Why Digital Art Matters”, the author speaks about an exhibition by the V&A which displays a series of objects that reflect on modern politics. One object was a pair of Primark jeans made in the Rana Plaza in Bangladesh where 1,130 workers lost their lives due to the collapse of the building.
I thought that the images above and below were both extremely powerful moments that showed the atmosphere in Bangladesh after the tragedy.

Digital Technology Deserves More Credit Than it Receives
In 2007, architect and artist Usman Haque founded Pachube which acted as a global data-sharing network.
After the Fukushima disaster in Japan, Pachube was used by Japanese civilians to share weather and radiation data. In a nutshell, digital technology helped to grow monitoring and relief efforts during a large-scale, natural disaster.
Digital technology does more than we know, and it is up to exhibitions like the ones mentioned in the article to make the missing connection between the digital realm and humanity more evident so that the art form can be more appreciated, and effectively used.

Create 3 Identity/Obsessions/Interests GIFs
Tumblr media
Adventure and Relaxation
Every frame in my identity GIF is an image of me doing something I love to do. Some of those thins include relaxing, connecting with nature, traveling to different countries, and snuggling with a cute house pet.
Tumblr media
My Obsessions
I am absolutely obsessed with are my nieces and nephews and the idea that one’s family is a huge part of one’s strength.
I love puppies, and I also love music. I especially enjoy piano/violin/acoustic guitar song covers or original songs using those instruments.
Photography is my life and if I had the money for it, I’d get a new tattoo every few weeks because I am obsessed with body art as an expression of who I am and what I want or don’t want people to know about me.
Being in nature always calms me down and meditation centered on balancing the chakras is an important part of a healing process for me. When I was extremely depressed, these particular obsessions played a huge role in my life to help get me to where I am mentally today.
Let’s not forget that I am obsessed with big, black hair on African American women especially. It’s an expression of what we really look like, not how society suggests we should look.
Tumblr media
Art Styles I Absolutely Love
These art styles are also obsessions of mine. As I said before, photography is my life and I especially love Polaroid pictures, and black and white photography with a sprinkle of color in them.
Every day of my life has a soundtrack to go along with it, so music is key as one of my favorite art styles. I also enjoy when dance accompanies music and when video/filming accompany the two. They all go together very well to create some of the most successful shows like “So you think you can dance”.
I haven’t figured out what it’s called yet, but there is a particular art style that famous pbr&b artists like Roy Woods and The Weeknd use in their video visuals, and album cover art that I adore. It’s a sort of dark, twisted, delinquent reminiscent photography/videography style that captures emotions most resonate to individuals in their teens and twenties. I think it’s beautiful.
I think that surrealism is one of the best things that ever happened for the art world, and it can be incorporated into nearly every genre of visual art. Romanticized art like Fragonard’s “The Swing” is also extremely aesthetically pleasing to me.

Project #3: MUSIC VIDEO = Story + Image + Sound
“This is me”
Directed by: Bianca Anicette Co Directed by: Khai Thompson Actors: Bianca Anicette, Khai Thompson, Rihanna, and others Music: The Weeknd - Wicked Games, Miguel - Skywalker, Linkin Park - Somewhere I belong, Son Lux - Alternate World
vimeo
Concept
The concept of the video is strongly suggestive of my identity. “This is me” uses a combination of different songs and imagery with varying themes that transition into one another to show a quick, significant change in mood. I put together scenes that used videos clips and still images to illustrate these particular moods.
The moods change as much as my mood does. What I wanted to show was that I’m human. I’m not strictly defined by a certain mood, or characteristic. My personality is a combination of moods I identify with. I’d be lying if I said that I was always feeling hurt, always optimistic, always closed off, or never felt alone.
I have a strong attachment to art that shows not only the good in life, but the bad in life a well. Without the bad experiences, or negative energy I have had and felt throughout my existence, I would certainly not be able to appreciate all of the good experiences that are a part of my life now.
Using Adobe Premiere
I think that using a video collage to represent who I am is even more effective than using a still image collage.
Not only does watching a video keep viewers of this piece more engaged/interested in what I have to say about myself, but making a video also creates more room for clarity that I was lacking in my still image collage.
Tumblr media
My flat image identity collage was more interpretive whereas my video showed clearer examples of what I wanted to show about my personality.
Inspiration
I tried using balloons in each of the segments of my video. During the first song you see a combination of bright colored and dark black balloons which represents the fight between staying optimistic and succumbing to depression.
In the third song, “Somewhere I Belong” by Linkin Park, you’ll see emotional scenes suggestive of internal conflict, followed by a stress exercise where a group of frustrated people are kicking around balloons.
Finally, in the fourth song, you’ll see video clips where my boyfriend and I are rolling down a hill with a balloon in our hands. Not to mention at the very end, a woman blows a balloon until it pops, wrapping up the concept of falling in love either with the right person OR the wrong person.
Tumblr media
I used black balloons to represent negative emotions.
Elements
Since my video is full of visual imagery, there is also plenty of texture that comes with the visuals ranging from the close ups of latex balloons, to the images of grass, to the colorful clothing that all of the actors are wearing. You’ll also see that in the beginning of the video, the fire burns green instead of red as I play around with color choice.
I tried to fill up the space in each frame as much as possible with either music, a smooth transition or visual imagery, but every once in a while you’ll notice a black pause in between clips.
There is plenty of movement involved when it comes to the actual video clips of either my boyfriend and I, myself alone, or the other actors acting away.
Finally, what I learned from this experience
I learned a lot about process during this project. I learned that it’s really important to plan ahead, and keep developing your ideas each and every day until you’re ready to film. It’s also very important to be creative and let your mind wander in order to create something very unique.

MY TAKE ON THE BIENNIAL FACULTY ART EXHIBITION :
As a whole, I found the Biennial Faculty Art Exhibition to be very well put together. The art work was preserved beautifully, and mounted perfectly.
The reason that Threshold by Cory Lamb is my favorite piece is because of how balanced and unified it is as a whole. Corey uses form and texture beautifully to make every piece fit together. Overall, Threshold seems very finished to me.
In contrast, Stephanie Cunningham’s, CALENDAR, seems very unfinished to me which is why it is my least favorite work in the exhibition. There is a lack of use of space on every fifth shelf in every set of five shelves. Also, the last shelf of every set of five has a different number of small papers resting on it. By leaving every fifth shelf fairly empty, Stephanie takes away the potential for unity in this piece.

Reading #3 : Allergy to Originality by Drew Christi
Tumblr media
Political GIFS are a primary example of how artists borrow ideas from other artists. I myself have seen at least 300 different variations of this same GIF.
Originality in artwork is something that has always puzzled me. Whenever I am tasked with summoning a creative piece of art work, I ask myself, “What the heck should I do?” Usually, an instructor or peer answers that question with, “Look at some other art besides yours and try to draw some inspiration from that.” That is what should get my creative juices flowing according to them, but...
Okay let’s say I find a painting that truly inspires me right? So I’m working on my own piece and it’s clear what elements are alike between my inspirational piece and my own. Is that not stealing?
Sure I made my own version of something else and it’s a bit different...but how original would that make my piece?
Am I truly an artist if all of my work is a spin-off of someone else’s?
Can’t I get sued or seriously offend an audience if my work looks like someone else’s but takes on a different meaning? Like Annie Wagenknecht and Pablo Garcia’s Webcam Venus or like Dana Schutz’s Emmett Till?
Tumblr media
How original is Andy Worhol’s Marilyn Monroe?
Drew Christie painted a picture for the idea that un-originality goes back to ancient times in his continuous finding of the quote, “We’ve always been the hewers of wood and the drawers of water,” in more than two books. He made an important point in doing so.
His point was that no art is original. As long as we are human beings capable of creating experiences and capturing scenes that get permanently stored in our brains (whether we realize that happens or not), our artwork will always resemble SOMETHING we’ve seen, heard, felt. tasted, or smelled. So to answer the questions from earlier:
When you present something that is your own but was inspired by the talent  of someone else, as long as there is a clear distinction between your piece and the other’s then it is as original as it can be because you thought of a way to make something not yours, relate to you.
Referencing #1, I said “as original as it can be.” I don’t think anything can truly be original unless we reevaluate what we consider to be original. If original means present or existing from the beginning, then you can’t have an original piece inspired by another work. But if original means created directly and personally by a particular artist, then yes it can because you made it didn’t you?
You are absolutely a true artist if you create art. I strongly believe in the old saying that art is in the eye of the beholder. If you made it, and you think it’s art, guess what? It’s art.
The Emmett Till painting is an example of an instance where a whole community, and more seriously a mourning mother, were all tremendously affected by an extremely insensitive art piece. You can absolutely be sued and shunned for offending an entire community of people. Just be considerate and aware of what is going on in your community of people (black, white, yellow, purple, etc), and try to put yourself in the mindset of someone your work may wound before you put it on display for the world to see it.

Assignment #2: Individual Research on Digital Art & Artist
Tumblr media
Portrait of Addie Wagenknecht, courtesy of Michael Clinard -  Addie’s Art
                                                            JODI
Jodi is an artistic duo based in the Netherlands.
They make glitched out, broken html coded websites to mock the functional use of technology.
I find the few pieces I was able to dig up beautiful and thought provoking. They are beautiful because they are wild with colors and coded  messages with no particular meaning, and they provoke thought by engaging the viewer in something they definitely recognize but can not make use of.
Another thing I find interesting is the fact that the duo uses technology in their art to make a point about how we take technology too seriously.
Personally, I am a fan. I enjoy the use of bright, vibrant colors on a pitch black background (seen in most of the following examples of JODI’s work). I think that the web pages are exciting to look at which is a plus to the fact that they provide an excellent message to today’s youth especially: What you can do with technology is far less exciting than the simpler joys of life.
ABOUT  JODI:
Tumblr media
This is the JODI.org homepage (Click “JODI.org” link to see for yourself). The page is black with what looks like strange, green code written everywhere.
Tumblr media
This is the next page I came across after randomly clicking around on the home page. Click here: Page 2. This page reminds me of a map due to the topographic looking blue and yellow lines, and also the red words, symbols, and targets that look like city names.
Tumblr media
This was Page 3. (Click on “Page 3″) This page is very chaotic but somehow very settling as well. I think all of the colors combined in this sort of glitchy behavior makes the page confusing, but the warm yellow, orange, and red components make it feel more inviting than the other pages.
Tumblr media
Page 4 uses repetition of straight blue lines on a black background to create a cage/jail-cell vibe. (Click on “Page 4” to see what I mean)
                                           ADDIE WAGENKNECHT
Addie Wagenknecht is an interesting artist because she has a wide range interests when it comes to her work such as feminism, mass consumption, and the relationship between people and technology.
There are some pieces by Annie that I love and some pieces that I do not care for very much. The Webcam Venus is a perfect example of a piece of hers that I do not like. I think that it is the opposite of  “A gesture of respect towards fine arts”. I think it’s disrespectful to compare Mona Lisa to a Sexcam performer since that is not the way Mona Lisa’s artist intended to portray her.
Black Hawk Paint on the other hand is a piece I enjoy. It was created using a small plane drone dropping paint over the canvas which is a super creative way to paint something, and its dark black paint and swift paint streaks over a stark white canvas help bring out a darker emotion than I have seen lately in most popular art works.

This is a surrealist collage that symbolically represents who I am.
Project #2: Digital Collage/Montage - Exploration in Multiple Media
What inspired me:
Our task was to create a collage or photo montage that represented our identities. Naturally, my inspiration was myself but two more things that inspired my project were surrealism and symbolism.
Surrealism - I made my piece surreal because of how creative the surrealist art form is. I wanted my collage to really stand out just like the works of Salvador Dali.
Tumblr media
This was the first work by Salvador Dali I was introduced to. Since I was first introduced to the artist in high school, I have always dreamed to one day master the surrealist technique.
The Elements:
     Balance
I purposely created an off balance collage for two reasons.
First, I wanted to viewer to really feel like they are in space.
Second, I wanted there to be a deep appreciation for the calm green that contradicts the fiery red of the sun.
      Color
I decided on complimentary colors for aesthetic purposes. At first, the sun was red while everything else was black and white. I think that green and red work better to show that there are two opposing sides to my personality.
What  l learned:
I learned that I finally found a medium that makes it easy for me to show what is going on in my head.
I also learned that I am obsessed with surrealism for its imaginative properties.
