Integrated Payment Processing in Business Central
Payment processing is a critical component of any business. Making financial transactions with clients and vendors more efficient, secure, and cost-effective can increase profitability for Australian businesses.
Although Dynamics Business Central 365 boasts tools from sales and services to finance and operations, payment processing is yet to co-exist. Payment processing integration with Business Central would make accounts receivable (AR) easier to manage. Business Central automatically records incoming payments in the cash receipts journal when the payment gateway integrates with Business Central.
In this blog, we will dig deeper into the challenges of payment processing and the pros of incorporating payment processing in Microsoft dynamics 365. We will also discuss Versapay integrated payment processing in Business Central.
The Challenges faced by companies
Time-consuming
AR teams most likely use multiple third-party processors to process a single transaction without an integrated payments system.
Manual payment processing in Business Central generates significant levels of manual work for accounting and finance teams.
High Probability of Errors
Manual update of payment data in the financial management system affects its accuracy. The customer payment data and contacts stored in spreadsheets are often outdated due to a lack of real-time tracking features.
Inaccuracies in accounting tend to be caused most often by manual data entry. According to a survey conducted by PYMNTS and American Express, 45% of businesses report frequent errors in their manual AR processes.
Big-Budget
Organizations pay higher payment processing fees when done manually. For instance, managing payment processing manually demands multiple people. As a result, employees struggle to focus on other significant tasks. Thus, restricting companies from saving money through interchange optimization.
To tackle these challenges, Australian companies seeking a better solution for their financial management system can integrate payment processing gateways with Business Central.
The pros of incorporating payment processing in Microsoft dynamics 365
Eliminate Manual AR Processes
Business Central 365 with integrated payment processing can be used to seamlessly process payments across e-commerce, POS, and accounts receivable channels.Solutions like Versapay can enable seamless payments across these channels in business central.
Decrease in Processing charge
The Versapay interchange optimization program benefits companies when Versapay is used to process bills. Using Level 2 and 3 data processing can reduce fee processing expenses by as much as 40%. By automating payment processing, companies will also save on labor costs.
As a result of focusing on more goal-oriented initiatives instead of monitoring documents from multiple processors, company employees can reach company goals.
Anti-Payment Fraud
A company can significantly reduce the time frame and money it usually needs to spend handling sensitive payment information using a single payment processing system. In this way, they can protect themselves from payment fraud since there are fewer channels through which fraudsters can potentially access sensitive information.
The Benefits of Using Integrated Payments for Your Business
Payment processing with Versapay's integrated payment solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps accelerate cash flow.
Versapay Business Central 365 integrated payment gateway aids organizations in securely processing their payments. In addition, optional checkout features that limit fraudulent chargebacks can reduce fraud risk. All payment data are tokenized and encoded, ensuring the security of the companies and their customers.

A Digital Transformation With WIISE & BiZMAXUs for Wholesale & Distribution Business
About Client
The client has grown to be one of Australia’s largest, most well-known and respected import/export wholesale marine businesses. Their head office is in Sydney (NSW) and a second office is located at Coomera on the Queensland Gold Coast and maintains four other warehouses located across Australia. Client supplies to Marine Retail stores, Boat Builders, Marinas, Marine Electricians, and all general marine trade, so our products are readily available Australia-wide.
Challenge
This consistently high level of execution Is not easy. The Client relies upon a responsive, full-featured ERP system to make it all come together. To manage that system, The Client has established an all-star development team in-house.
The company implemented an In-house developed system roughly ten years ago with a team of developers. However, after meeting with us at the Dynamics Community Seminar, they decided to re-evaluate their needs.
Mukesh Mittal conducted a fit-gap analysis with team the client to determine exactly what the company needed for its ERP system. During the Business study, we found Client is struggling in managing the huge inventory (more than 25,000 SKUs) in multiple locations with an unreliable broken system. To get any information The client was totally relying on system developers and paying heavy fees weekly.
Procurement & managing order quantity & Vendor lead time in this pandemic era was the main challenge, Skids of products were being delayed frequently, causing the Client’s team a lot of headaches to get them moving again.
The existing reporting capabilities were not giving proper insights to make right decisions. The Client honours itself on being data-driven, so the team wanted the accurate data in an accessible & informative format.
To stay ahead of the technology curve, the company wanted to upgrade its system to WIISE, but it needed the right partner. After meeting with Mukesh Mittal, the senior leadership team and weighing their options, The Client decided that a partnership with Bizmaxus would be the best way to meet its targets and equip its team to operate the business in Optimize way.
Solution
An Bizmaxus project team led by Mukesh Mittal took on WIISE Implementation project. They knew from the start that they needed to be in close communication with Client’s team on each step so they would be as ready as possible to offer support on their own in the future.
Perhaps because of this focus on training the team, Mukesh noted afterwards that the Client was one of the easiest projects he has worked on from a timing and communication perspective. “If every go-live is like the client, I’ll be a very happy project director.”
The Client’s system was upgraded to WIISE (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) gone live in August 2022. This implementation involved significant customizations to centralize purchases for all locations as per the client’s guidelines. The implementation was a great opportunity to re-evaluate all the business processes that had been followed previously to determine if they were still necessary. In many cases, they were not.
To bring everything in Microsoft together, Bizmaxus became the Client’s Cloud Solutions Provider and offered them their Microsoft Office licensing at a significant discount compared to the company’s previous provider.
Results Achieved
Today, Client is live with its new Wiise (Business Central system). Because the company took the time to prepare data in advance and prepare for the switch, it has been a relatively smooth transition.
For shipping, the delays they experienced previously sending inventory out are all gone. They are operating far more efficiently, and in fact, estimate that labour /inventory holding etc. associated with their products have been reduced by 40%.
On the reporting front, today they can go to any location / Responsibility centre and easily find all the orders that are due for the day, view all sales entered, see how much is shipped each day, and more.
Finally, because the Client’s team worked so closely with Bizmaxus and completed much of the work and support on their own as a result, the entire project came in under budget. Not only that, but the Client will save in the long run because it can support users without incurring billable hours.
Moving Forward With Confidence
When asked about Bizmaxus ’s level of support both in implementing the solution and helping with any issue that has come up since Client could not be more pleased. “Whenever you contact with Support team, you get a solution quickly or get in touch with the right person that can help.”
Client’s View About Us
“My life is so much easier. Because I run all the technology for the business from the internet to phone to software solutions, to know I have a team in Bizmaxus that I can call on 24/7 if something comes up that we can’t solve ourselves means I can sleep a lot sounder at night.” — Colin Moran

The Reason Behind the Need for Cloud ERP for Australian Manufacturers
The business landscape is witnessing rapid changes in the technology front at present. Industry 4.0 technologies are changing business scenarios fast. Industry 4.0 technology consists of the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, AI and machine learning, 3D printing, and robotic process automation. These technologies, along with advanced technologies like smart sensors and advanced embedded systems, are generating a huge amount of raw data which needs to be processed. For this reason, powerful data manipulation software such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is the first step that Australian manufacturers need to take for the best use of Industry 4.0 Technologies. And ERP, such as Business Central, is logically the first step before other technologies are implemented.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is one such ERP solution that helps Australian manufacturers by getting more analysis in action for decision-making processes. It will help the companies to be more responsive to changes in the market, and also to customer needs. The supply chain risks of production can be identified and mitigated at the early stage. And efficiency can be optimized and productivity can be increased by such actions.
Before investing in such ERP solutions, you need to consider if you need them or not. If your priority is scaling your business, then investing in a smart cloud-based ERP solution makes sense. You need to choose an ERP system that is the right fit for your business but also can be scaled up as your business grows. You also need to keep the below-mentioned things in mind before finalizing your ERP solution:
Data Analysis Capability:
The data analysis capability of your ERP solution should be a primary concern before you invest in cloud computing, the internet of things, AI, or any such technologies. Modern technologies generate a vast amount of raw data. Your ERP system should be robust enough to store, manage and generate applicable insights from the data. Also, the system should accommodate other functionalities such as vendor management, stock management, invoicing, etc.
Scalability:
A cloud-based ERP system is far better than an on-premises ERP system in terms of scalability. Asyour business grows, more 'spaces' can be rented from the cloud-based system. The system specifically designed for the Australian market has several features like an industry-specific Chart of Accounts, costing, unlimited transactions, etc. The integration with Microsoft tools such as power bi adds more value to the software.
Advance Cybersecurity
Data is the most valued asset of modern organizations and it should be protected as well. The security of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP is taken care of by Microsoft and thus is very secure.
Supply Chain Integration:
Having a cloud-based ERP solution helps to manage the supply chain as well. From procurement of raw materials to delivering final products, everything can be integrated and all the information could be seen at the fingertips all the time.
From the benefits mentioned above, it is clear that cloud-based ERP systems are absolutely valuable for Australian businesses. Be it processes-based industry, oil, and gas, food and beverages, or almost every kind of business, the cloud-based ERP system can pave the way for Industry 4.0 technologies.

The Right Tool for The Growth of Your Business: Microsoft Dynamics 365
98% of the businesses (2.35 million out of 2.40 million businesses) in Australia are Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs)[1]. With such impact on the economy, the growth of such businesses is a key to the GDP of the country. However, often it has been seen that the growth is hindered not because of the inherent quality of the business, but because of the software used for the business.
The use of legacy business software is one such hindrance. Problems like scalability, data security, and integration with productivity tools are some of the issues that pull your company back. The use of modern software like Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the solution for all these problems. It has several benefits:
All-in-one solution: MS Dynamics 365 seamlessly connects all the functions of business in one tool. Verticals like Finance, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, HR, etc. all are connected by Dynamics 365. It is very user-friendly and intuitive so that every aspect of your business can be found at your fingertips.
Automation: This artificial intelligent-enabled system is capable of automating most mundane and repetitive tasks. It has a twofold benefit. First, it reduces the chances of human errors. And it is faster as well. The overall productivity and thereby performance and profitability of your business increase significantly with such automation.
Quality Customer Support: In a report, Forbes stated that around 86% of the happy customer can come back for more purchases. Dynamics 365 can ensure that. This tool helps to provide personalized service to all customers by providing all their details immediately upon request. In the era of cutthroat competition, providing quality products only is not enough, you have to give quality customer service experience also. For that reason, quality software like Dynamics 365 is a must-have for businesses, particularly SMBs.
Security: This is another aspect that cannot be overlooked. Arguably in this digital era, information is the most critical and valuable asset of all. It needed to be guarded with maximum security as well. The security of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is taken care of by Microsoft itself. Because it is a cloud base product, and there is no need for onsite IT infrastructure, the system is very secure.
Reporting: Manual creation of reports takes a long time, and it is error-prone as well. In this software, reporting is automated. Reports are generated fast and accurately.
Integration: Dynamics 365 is seamlessly integrated with other Microsoft programs and even with third-party tools as well. This is a great feature as legacy systems did not have the facility and in that repetitive data entries are required.
Conclusion: Microsoft Dynamics 365 has the features of both ERP and CRM which enables it to give the business a holistic point of view. The tool is highly customizable, scalable, and flexible to help any SMB to grow.

Why Dynamics 365 Business Central offers better security
IT teams in charge of on-premises software balance security on various levels:
• Protecting hard drives, server rooms, and software; • Prevent unauthorized users from accessing power or reset switches.
• Only allowing necessary employees access to items and features, and preventing displeased employees from using them after they leave
• Managing individual computer upgrades and security, as well as staying up to date with security patches and fixes for Microsoft's operating systems and applications.
With the pandemic, people left the brick quarters of the office in large numbers to work away from home and access company data from unsecured home networks, making all of this even more challenging. Even the most advanced IT teams struggled with security issues as a result of this.
IT specialists have good reason to worry:
About 50 million password attacks are launched by hackers on average each day (Microsoft)
• In the previous 24 months, ransomware and malware attacks have affected 93% of enterprises (IDC)
• The majority of attacks start on-site (Microsoft)
You'll want to feel certain that Dynamics Business Central 365in the Microsoft Cloud Azure will secure your company if you're thinking about switching from Dynamics GP.
GP is not a genuine cloud solution even if it can be hosted in the cloud. Don't have to worry about patching, upgrading server software, or handling other security concerns because Business Central is housed in the Microsoft Cloud. The Microsoft team releases updates and patches bugs.
Take a look at how Microsoft approaches security:
Microsoft provides multiple layers of protection for its operations, infrastructure, and data centers. To protect your company's data and assets in Azure, more than 3,500 international cybersecurity experts are at work. Microsoft continuously examines billions of emails, Windows device updates, Bing web pages, and authentications. Microsoft's data scientists evaluate this data using machine learning, behavioral analytics, and application-based intelligence. The findings assist Azure security and customers identify dangers more quickly.
All of these factors combine to create a considerably wider reach than any one organization could achieve with an on-premise solution. In other words, Business Central, which is built on Microsoft Azure, has significantly increased the size of your IT crew, allowing you to rest easier. You can be sure that Microsoft Azure offers business-leading protection on all fronts if you're thinking about moving forward with Business Central. This will free up more of your time for strategic IT planning and less time managing user access and updates.
