Ron said this just after Harry was obsessing about finding Draco on the map...

Whenever the central theme of a particular scene in the book is about a love potion, Harry almost always hyperfocuses on Draco.

Another example of this is when Slughorn introduced Amortentia to the class, Harry (and his group) had sat next to it, inhaled the fumes and got a little high off of it.

And what happened immediately after that was that he couldn't keep his eyes of of Draco during the entirety of that lesson.

If you contrast his behaviour with the lesson they had earlier that day, you get how Harry was acting differently.... because in Defence, Malfoy was mentioned all of one time!

I think that the way that Amortentia works is that it reminds people of the things they already love or find attractive.

For Harry that seems easy:

Somehow it reminded him simultaneously of treacle tart, the woody smell of a broomstick handle, something flowery he thought he might've smelled at the Burrow.

His favourite dessert, Quidditch and Ginny.

Except for one little thing:

Harry, however, had never been less interested in Quidditch; he was rapidly becoming obsessed with Draco Malfoy.

Since Harry spends most of HBP obsessed with Malfoy even without the influence of a love potion, I'll leave you to infer who he feels more strongly about 🤣

i will never ever be over the fact that ron describing romilda vane while under the influence of love potion sounds like harry's normal narration about draco. i know i've talked about it before but look at it.

harry's just like that all the time when draco's around lol. no love potion needed. truly the ship of all time.
