You tip-toed down the hall towards Eddie and Steve’s bedroom. It hadn’t been that long since they’d laid you down for the night. You woke up and suddenly didn’t wanna be alone even your stuffed puppy couldn’t help.

You quietly pushed their door open and saw them both cuddled up asleep. You felt guilt clouding your brain. You didn’t wanna wake them up, Eddie had work and Steve was meeting Robin early tomorrow. You turned around walking back out.

“Princess?” Steves gravely voice cut through the silence and you froze. “N-no…” Steve let out a breathy chuckle “what’s wrong princess?” You turned to face him and shrugged. Steve sighed and stood up from bed “why don’t we get a late night snack hmm?” You nodded and Steve lifted you up.

Steve carefully carried you down the stairs attached to his hip. He opened up his freezer “grape or cherry?” He asked “mmm cherry!” Steve sat you on the counter and grabbed the icey pop. He wrapped up the thin plastic in a napkin and opened it.

“Now, you gonna tell daddy what’s wrong?” He handed you the treat and you bit into the flavored ice. “M’okay” you mumbled as you let the ice melt on your tongue “princess. Daddy knows better.” You sighed.

“Missed daddy and sir that’s it” Steve tilted his head “sir has been working more….y-you and your friends hang out more plus you work too and I….I just….” You felt your eyes tearing up.

“Love, why haven’t you told us?” Steve pulled your head into his chest, sitting your treat down. “Didn’t…didn’t wanna be annoying” “you could never be annoying to us.” Steve rubbed your back softly.

Steves head lifted to the sound of the stairs creaking seeing his boyfriend half asleep. “Shhh” Steve spoke softly and Eddie’s face clouded with concern. “Baby?” Eddie called softly and you turned to look at him “what’s the matter?” Eddie quickly made his was to you.

You stuck your arms out “miss you!” You whined out eddie quickly picked you up holding you to his chest.

Once the pair got you calmed down you explained to them how you were feeling. The two men felt awful that they didn’t pick up on how you were feeling.

You cuddled up in Steve’s lap while eddie put on a scooby doo vhs. They stayed there with you the rest of the night cuddled up to you making sure you felt okay.

I feel like his version of reaction differs from how intense the scene is.

Like if it was something light like bondage,spanking,overstimulation,etc.

He’d immediately stop (always) and untie you or do whatever he needs to stop the play.

He then reacts like the white rabbit from wonderland. He’s rushing around getting you water,or aloe, or lotion,etc

He tried his best to give you time to calm down before he cuddles or snuggles you.

So, I think I’m going to be taking a short break from Boxer!Steve. I love love love him to death, and have had so much fun with the series, but I’ve written 25 fics in total for him, and I feel like I’ve written so much that I’ve run out of ideas. And what ideas I did have, I feel like I have to put on the back burner to continue the storyline I’ve built (nobody’s fault but mine lol) but I have no energy to continue the storyline as it is right now. If that makes sense?

I’d really like to write more solo Steve, and solo Eddie fics. Maybe some College!Steve if I feel like it.

Not sure when I’ll be posting another fic, sort of experiencing burnout from school and it’s affecting my writing skills lol.
