Title: #MeToo His-Story

Within the artifacts of mythical misogyny lies the society’s consciousness of perceived violence of women. The visual commentary I have chosen for this subject matter is Hades kidnapping of Persephone; why do memorialize sexual assault and harassment of women. It’s a morbid display of objectification in art, film and real life practice of presidents to movie studio moguls. I like to change the narrative at least in this painting by having Ironman fight the power of disorder of female terrorism and assault.

Title: Half Man Half Justice

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

The Centaur and Motaur(Geico insurance commercial) can easily fit into scenarios of past and present day social inequalities. Trauma from unequal treatment can result in the feeling of being "half a man"... just like the the centaur and motuar. 

Whereas in a just society, you are suppose to be made whole by equal application of "Justice for all". If our civilization fails to acknowledge this disparity, it will disenfranchised humanity spawning "half humans" and stop producing healthy whole people. Thus always subconsciously perpetuating images of centaurs and motaurs without knowing the attraction of the myth or the symbol of it.

I like to use iconic fine art master-works juxtaposed with current popular culture imagery from advertising, comic books, logos, ect. to create social awareness in the times we live in. By splicing these contrasting images from different time periods, the subject matter takes on new impetus of preconscious intensity not found in simplistic or direct commentary art. I like to further entice my viewers with palatable compositions, textures, bright colors, and unexpected images.

​My primary goal is to create immersive paintings that are hypnotic and thought provoking; a visual circus that contains social inequalities, struggles of being human, and all the in between complexities we experience in our everyday lives.

​I received my BFA, Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from San Francisco State University and had the amazing opportunity to study under both professor/working artist, Paul Pratchenko & Richard Mclean.
