Ilish(Hilsa) paturi is an age-old Bengali delicacy. The main ingredient of paturi is mustard paste and traditional spices. The mixture is then wrapped in banana leaves for further slow cooking. In this slow cooking method, the smokey aroma of banana leaves gets infused into the food, the outcome is scrumptious and out of the world taste.

Malpua: An authentic Bengali dessert prepared by mixing flour, crushed ripe banana, semolina, sugar and deepfrying the malpua fritters . There are many varieties and this version does not involve dipping the fritters in sugar syrup, I have added one tablespoon of rabri instead.

White steamed rice with bottle gourd gravy- a traditional Bengali cuisine with grated bottle gourd prepared in yellow lentils. I have added green peas and dried lentil dumplings for enhanced favour. Adding a dash of ghee/clarified butter is highly recommend :)
