No, while I'm certain you'd make an absolutely dashing Lysander, I'm afraid that this iteration of typecasting may not have worked in your favor. Thank you, Brody! I'm quite excited about this one.
I’m so excited that I could honestly burst, and if I’m being completely truthful with myself I don’t think I could hold this in for much longer, but I wanted to say that yours truly just received a phone call in which, yours truly, has been cast! In a show! Outside of PSU!
Now before I completely lose my wits, pinch myself or find out that this was one colossal and realistic dream, I’ve just got to tell someone. So here I am, internet! I’ve just been cast in an all-female production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and I’ll be playing the swapped role of Lysandra. I’m so excited about this latest venture and do hope you’ll all come to see me!

It's truly fascinating-- and yet, here I'd be terrified to swim in front of an entire pool of people, but I feel most at home when those seats are filled. I suppose it's because I'm not fully myself, you know? That's what makes it so magical.
I don't know, I feel that would be overwhelming too. The thought of those seats being filled and everyone looking at me. I don't look in the stands when I swim. Sorry Beth.

It's going to be up in early January! I'm very looking forward to it. Would you like to do a buddy reading of the play with me?
I'm not cultured enough to know much about the show itself, but I do know excitement when I see it and that's enough for me. Congratulations! When does the show run?

You are very correct! Lysandra is the gender-swapped version of Lysander, whose character is usually played as a male. He's typically a hopeless romantic, very loyal, determined, brave, and witty. All in all, the perfect golden retriever boyfriend.
That's so exciting! Lysandra sounds like a girl name anyway, though, so are you sure that needs to be genderswapped? What is the show about? Are there, like, songs and stuff?

I suppose you'd have to ask the director! I can put you in contact with her if you'd like. Personally I think it's an excellent neo-feminist adaptation of a beloved fairy tale gone wrong, or at least, gone on an acid trip.
An all-female production? But...why?

Rachel! What an honor and a joy for our paths to cross-- finally. I am still in awe of the fact that the universe has not put ourselves in each other's orbit, but now that's all to change. Might I propose we grab a coffee to celebrate this truly momentous occasion?
is this how you make an introduction post here? It's been a while since I used this site, to be honest, I never thought it would be used again but I was wrong. I am going to introduce myself but I kind of would think you might know who I am. Oh wait maybe not unless you are musical fans then you might. Hi I'm Rachel Barbara Berry, Broadway Star and currently a Musical Theatre Professor at PSU and a Singing teacher if you want lessons. So what are people using this site for then?

Darling, if anything could make me more excited about landing the role, it's you seeing me in the role. Say no more, you'll have to meet me backstage after opening night.
Gasp! Beth that is amazing! Your going to be absolutely fabulous in that role. You have to let me know when its showing. I would love to see you on stage again.

I want you to be there front row. Then, you can see what all the fuss is about!
Congratulations. It's a big deal to land a role, but I don’t know if losing your mind over it like this is the best way to handle things. Or... maybe you're just acting extra excited for the effect?

Goodness, thank you. I'm honestly so excited, but a little intimidated by the number of lines I have to learn!
That's exciting, hope that goes well for you.

"Mathieu Schuester?!" Beth's eyes immediately lit up upon seeing her former friend, and it was with a grin that she immediately picked herself up from her table in the faculty dining hall and ceremoniously took the seat across from him. She slung her bag over the back of her chair, full to the brim of scripts highlighted in different colors and a pair of jazz shoes. "I heard rumblings that you were back at PSU, but I had to see it to believe it. I need a full status update on your life."

Personally, my favorite place is an empty stage. Whenever I get too overwhelmed with anything, I like to go to the theater on campus and just look out at the seats. Do you think that would be calming for you?
So two months here at PSU and it's definitely a lot different than I expected. It's more chill and laid back than school, and everyone is really nice. I don't know why I thought it would be more strict. But I still don't know my way around campus, is there any like quiet rooms or some place a student can go if they're feeling overwhelmed or anxious? If not this college would really benefit from one.

And what's wrong with a good, old-fashioned romcom, Miles? I think it's high time we took them back from Hallmark.
My agent has sent me some scripts for potential films to direct, finally they are not a romcom and instead are actually action films and dramas. I am excited to read them and maybe find my next project. Don't worry this won't stop me from being your amazing professor if you are studying film studies, just means I will have something to do around the summer next year. However, we are approaching the end of the year which is crazy, has anyone got exciting things coming up before the end of the year?
