im obsessed with your screenshots! im trying to storytell 95% vanilla and for some reason it seems like my screenies aren’t dreamy when im vanilla lmao!! i think it��s the cc affect. any tips on screenshot taking with minimal to no cc/mods to make pics lively?

i don’t really know how to answer this bc for me it’s really intuitive, and i don’t really have much experience, so what i can tell you is that it mainly depends on two things: framing and color. my scenes can look kind of empty sometimes, especially when they’re set on the exterior, so what i try to do (for example) is to merge a building with a piece of background, or to really zoom in on a detail i find cute. i do the same on scenes with sims, and i try to either emphasize a detail i like about their appearance or maybe give them a speech/thought balloon to add more character !
then, it all comes down to editing and lightning ! i use this photoshop preset and it’s really cool because it allows you to play with a lot of options while maintaining a vivid brightness to the scene.
& lastly, just have fun !! i love playing vanilla bc it allows me to experiment with clothing and item combinations (+ i can’t really afford to stress my pc out with too many mods lol) so just try to find your flow !

How do you keep your screenshots from being pixelated?
hi !! i use the camera raw plug-in in photoshop. i just adjust the sharpness and noise reduction sliders (generally on 60 or 70) until i’m okay with the results !
