“Not only did I love the arc of the episode story line, but I loved its humor and the way parts echoed. The echoing effect added emphasis — it gave me the feeling that you were orbiting the situation, like you were looking at it from different angles. So cool.” a review from #Kathyday

Khalil Anthony + Champagne are Khalil Anthony Peebles & Malik Ameer Crumpler. Their new album, Junebug, available June 8, 2018, (in honor of Prince's Birthday, 7 June), embraces Prince's funky influence on their music & lives. Written in Berlin, mixed in NYC, mastered in London, produced and recorded in Paris, Junebug is a global collaboration between musicians and poets.
Definition of june bug : any of numerous rather large leaf-eating scarab beetles (subfamily Melolonthinae) that fly chiefly in late spring and have larvae that are white grubs which live in soil and feed chiefly on the roots of grasses and other plants — called also june beetle JUNIE MORRISSON Born in Dayton, Ohio, Morrison sang and played piano as a child, soon learning a range of other instruments and becoming a school choir director and orchestra conductor.[1] In 1970, he joined the funk band the Ohio Players, becoming a producer, writer, keyboardist and vocalist involved in some of their major hits and the albums Pain, Pleasure, and Ecstasy. He was largely responsible for writing and arranging the band's 1973 hit single, "Funky Worm".[2] JUNEBUG Donny "JUNEBUG" Walker Jr., my cousin, the coolest cat in my childhood.

KHALIL ANTHONY
Khalil Anthony’s Electronic music career jump started when Sheffield’s thatmanmonkz remixed two songs from Khalil Anthony’s album, Train (URBANFOLK MUSIC + SATORI IDEAS), produced by Malik Ameer Crumpler in 2013. Needed You Bad, Shelter, (SHADELEAF MUSIC) ushered Anthony into the House world as a strong voice to watch out for. Follow-up releases with monkz, In The Trees, Take U 2 My House, Air, (DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR), helped to further establish Anthony as a distinctive vocal persona on the dance floor. Byron The Aquarius’ remix of Anthony’s Needed You Bad, (SHADELEAF), opened-up the myriad journeys of sound and the enormous possibility in Khalil’s creativity and expressive vocal presentation.
Chromosome Replacement, (DEEPBLAK), with Damon Bell aka (D^BO), was a cosmic journey in lyrical and soundscape futuristic symbiosis. Anthony and Damon Bell’s work together on a larger project, 2 EP, (SHADELEAF), further promoted the idea of Anthony as a eclectic voice in Electronic music and beyond. With its soulful, and african future funk direction, 2 EP, helped exhibit a more distinctive range for Khalil’s voice and songwriting ability.
Khalil’s next project found a larger audience when the all-mighty Jimpster remixed 2016’s stand-out, Take U 2 My House, Jimpster remix (DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR). Follow-up work with Jimpster produced the otherworldly, Where U Are, (FREERANGE), with a techno-inspired remix by Urulu.
2017 ends with two ep’s with Marcel Vogel and Khalil Anthony, (Brown Curls, Dance The Blues Away, LUMBERJACKS FROM HELL). Anthony’s venture into disco seamlessly expresses the continuum innate in Anthony’s ability to work between forms, effortlessly existing within the diverse spectrum of music and its myriad landscapes.
