Dear satanists of tumblr,

Help. Idk what I’m doing..

I’ve been eyeing satanism for a while and I want to get into it but... I’m very lost and confused! I’d love for you all to answer some of my questions. (I’m so sorry for the ridiculous amount of questions! I just want to get it right and learn from people who know what they’re doing)

Also these questions may seem stupid but this isn’t a satire post, I’m genuinely asking these questions.

-How does one simply just become a satanist?

-What does it mean to be a satanist? Like what does satanism stand for? Can someone just have their own form of satanism?

-I don’t know whether or not I’m theistic or non-theistic.. Do I have to set up an alter,etc, to be a satanist or could I just chill?

-“Hail Satan”... what does it mean?

-Which sources are antisimetic/racist/problematic so I can avoid them? I do not want to be associated with discrimination!

-What’s the difference between Lucifer, Satan, Baphomet, etc?

-Any book/podcast recommendations? I’d love to hear them!!

-Any good websites that are good sources for research? I haven’t seen much.

-Do I have to put myself under a certain label?

-You guys have holidays? Love to hear about them!! :)
