very simplistic styles are so hard and scary for me bc you have to be so precise or it'll look ridiculous

ok so ive been thinking of the pjo tv adaptation a lot and tbh (as for 3 episodes in) I'm a little disappointed so far. I think the actors are great and everything but the pieces feel slightly disjointed. something in production doesn't fit. and I was thinking about it a lot bc I love pjo and I wanted to see it on screen but then I realized that the book is the perfect method of telling that specific story (especially with Percy's narration and inner monologue)

SO I WAS THINKING

they could've done a show based off the books but not intended to be 100% accurate. like how greek myths have a million versions, they could've made a version better suited to a tv story telling. then you'd have the books, the movie, the musical and the tv all as different versions of the same story and its like percy has his own little myth yk.

(my personal vote would've been to make a more realistic [as in realistic way that teens act] pg-13 version kinda like a stranger things vibe but thats neither here nor there)

I wonder when guys will realize that when they meet a girl thats "not like the others" it has nothing to do with the girl and everything to do with the circumstance that forced him to view her as a person rather than a woman. I'm sure they'd be surprised to find that if they stop looking at women through a mold of expectations, they'll discover that they are in fact humans with fully working brains independent of whatever narrative the guy has constructed in his brain

tell me why I just realized, while watching Half blood prince with my brother, that Harry reencounters all the triwizard tournament tasks

1. dragons- gringotts in the deathly hallows

2. being pulled/held underwater- in the cave in the half blood prince

3. maze- being chased through the crops with bellatrix and grayback in the half blood prince

I have so many ideas for writing but neither the time nor skill to bring them to life, so I accumulate them in a section of my notes, revisiting them time and time again, dooming myself to fall in love with people and places that will never exist, not even in writting

I've come back just to say that the harry potter fandom has made all the characters have deeper relationships in fanon than in canon (ex everything including the marauders bringing up harry or anything of the sort) bc most of the fandom used the books as a form of escapism and decided to create the found family they longed for:)

a coincidence means that you were subconsciously looking for a connecting between two things, but just because you were looking for it doesn't mean the connection wasn't there

Yk I think that the reason why all the Mentally Ill TeensTM have or have had an obsession with Greek Mythology is because of all the gods that are frequently mentioned, Greek gods (and other figures) are the ones that seem most human in the sense that the fuck up more often than not. They aren't All Powerful, Perfect beings. They have faults and thoughts and emotions.

So I believe that when these people who hate and blame themselves, see these gods, they can see themselves reflected. I think that they like the idea that even gods who are imperfect, make mistakes, (some of them) assholes, can still be loved and powerful and worshipped. Their humanity is a testament to our ability to love, be loved and forgive. And to a lot of us, that's enough to give us hope.

Yk when people were drawing kwamis as humans I kept seeing them all as like modern white people so I decided to draw them as the people from their animal of origin (¿?).

For example: Tiki as the first Europeans bc thats apparently where ladybugs are from

I was also gonna draw the rest but my tablet broke before I could finish Plagg </3

The only other interpretation I appreciate is basing their ethnicity on their box. Ex. The kwamis from the Chinese box represented by aincient Chinese people.

Also tb to me trying to draw marinette but ending up with black and white bc I suck at color ;?
