The spectacular view from my window in Shanghai tonight (it’s already past 10 pm the 12th here! 15 hrs ahead) a few traditional Shanghai dishes here from our lovely hosts. My oldest daughter knows me so well. So sweet. Cooking, traveling for new ideas and experiences in food and drink is my thing. Before each trip, I check out every show and book line that both Anthony Bourdain and Rick Steve’s have done about a place. When you whip up your own Mother’s Day dessert for yourself and friends. Homemade cream biscuits, strawberries with aged balsamic vinegar & thyme, fresh clover heavy cream whipped with vanilla. My girls at 9 and 5 years old at the Renaissance Faire. I wish I had more time with them as little ones! Enjoy the time my friends; it goes so fast. Missing my girl Kalina in Brooklyn NY today and Autumn has a family memorial service; they do grow up fast! Very proud of them. . I’ll enjoy Mother’s Day with some very good friends though walking through my fave Armstrong Woods. Happy Mother’s Day to moms of fur babies too.
