When the humans turned on their gods, it was a gradual process. Those whom granted their followers boons of their own volition quickly fell to the first God-Hunters, slain for the bounty of their ever-potent blood, and never-rotting flesh. Eventually, the gods stopped visiting the worlds of Man, For to do so was to invite a grueling death at the hands of those who gave them the very power they held. Mankind learned how to bind gods to the Mortal Realm, and how to harvest everything they could. The gods' reticence only made hunting them more necessary, for the humans were running out of resources due to their own hubris, as well. The sun dimmed, crops failed, entire continents were swept beneath the waves as the gods were ripped from their domains. Yet, the gods, for all of the humans' efforts, simply would not die. God-hunting, in time, became the only way societies could sustain themselves, for the very immortality the gods held made them the perfect prey. For they were helpless to defend themselves. The gods who had tried, and who had eradicated their followers, simply ceased to be, though perhaps in the face of the torturous existence of being continually butchered and gutted, it may have been a mercy to them. In time, the Humans of the World learned how to refine Godblood, and how to best use the Gods's flesh to sustain themselves. Others learned how to take the metals from the Gods' tools and weapons, or sometimes their very bodies, and Humanity thrived. Those whom grew up in these societies learned to thank the gods for the bounties they were given, and so, they remained strong. Remained a resource for 'their' people. Until finally... one god found a way to remain even after he had slain the very last of his worshippers...
A fantasy world with an industrial revolution, where Gods are hunted like whales were.

This is honestly a beautiful way to remind us that every culture, every language, even every single living being is different, even if just in minute ways. Amazingly written.
Humanity has finally reached the stars and found out why no one had contacted us. The universe is in a sad state. As such, Doctors without Borders, Red Cross, and many othe charities go intergalactic.

To the Terato/Exo community
Hey everyone! I am still analysing all the wonderful answers to the survey lots of you replied to, and I’m still incredibly grateful for all of it, yet I have to ask for your help again!
Besides my theoretical research on our community I have to visualise it in art as well (it’s still the art academy after all) and I would love to show them how incredibly talented and loving everyone is, and how our preferences in monster partners vary beyond their wildest imagination. If you want to help me with this, here is how you can participate:
•Draw your perfect/preferred monster partner(s). You can draw them however you want, humanoid or alien or robotic or horrifying - whatever fits your idea of them, and if nsfw is necessary for the right portrayal of them then go ahead and draw it nsfw! Traditional or digital is up to you as well. There are no restrictions. You can draw as many partners as you want if you have no strong preference for just one.
-Make sure your signature, name, url, or some other way of identification is visible in the drawing (unless you don’t want people to look you up). I will not claim to have drawn any of your works; I will merely be showing it at a little art festival for school.
You can reblog this post with the art so the whole community can love it as well, or if it’s a little personal you can send it directly to me, but I would prefer to get the file from everyone so no quality is lost when I print or beam the artwork. You can send it to: [email protected]
•If you don’t want to draw your perfect/preferred monster partner(s) you can reblog this post with your description(s) of them instead! I might try to draw them or I could leave it at the description depending on how much time I have. Try to be as detailed as possible, and including their personality is more than fine! You can also send the description straight into my askbox or DMs if you’d like, or to my email.
•If you are more of a writer, you can write about how you and your perfect monster partner meet/fall in love/make love/enjoy life together! The length doesn’t matter, do whatever feels right to you. Again, you can reblog this post with your writing or a link to the story or you can send it directly to me. Be sure to mention your name or url so I can properly credit you!
If you already have such a story or drawing and you won’t mind if I show it to people outside of the community (at the art festival) then please send me a link to where I can find it! If you don’t want to participate, please still reblog this post. I would love for it to spread far so people who do want to participate get to see it as well!
The ‘deadline’ for me is the 17th of May (2019), but of course I won’t stop you from creating beyond that date, and I would love to see/read about everyone’s monster partner(s) even if it’s added after the date.
Just like with the survey I will post the results here on Tumblr, to give back to the community. If you don’t want your art or writing to be visible in the pictures let me know, and I will blur it out before posting it. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me! ♡

[Awsha][Worldbuilding] The subterranean Kingdom of Xyalg-Qy’uun.
The underground Kingdom of Xyalg-Qy'uun is a rather secretive one, having only recently been discovered by Alliance cartographers, who stumbled upon a large passageway into the mountain, which was loosely veiled by arcane magicks. This magical gate, called the Quorguull in the tongue of it's people (roughly translated to the "Deep-Gate"), was the first of many lines of defenses, and it was here that the Queen of the kingdom received it's first unexpected visitors. It is also the only way into the Depths below Awsha's largest twin mountain, the Fangs of Marnath.
History:
The Kingdom, such as it is, was formed shortly after the Great Collapse, as magic slowly tore the world itself asunder in violent streams of power, and force. Old caverns were filled with molten slag from great forges, melting rock, sand, vaporizing the waters. This is how the Glass Walls came to be, massive, immovable blockages in the old earth, with a sheen like dull glass. Tunnels were sealed by mudslides hardened under the relentless pressure of the world it was sliding underneath of, as well the workings of the force of nature that was the innate magical energy flowing through the earth. And Large Crevices were closed, as the two mountains above slid together, and fused, the heat and friction causing violent earthquakes for miles around. However, not all underground massages were sealed. Many valleys and gashes in the Awsha's crust, that were once separated, were suddenly forced to open, as subterranean walls crumbled, leveling entire systems of caves into several massive, wide-open caverns, the size of many a large city.
It was into these caves that the first inhabitants were born. In the throes of magical devastation, and the following onslaught of the Demonic Hordes, many insectoid Hybrids were created within the twisted, dark halls of the Deep Caverns. Spider-lings, Scorpiae, Crabmen, and others. The Demons twisted whatever helpless fauna they could find, to create an army that could one day be sent above the ground, to swarm the hapless people on the surface. And they would have succeeded, if not for The First Queen. Her name was lost to history, drowned in the fires of war and revolution, as she brought her people to enlightenment, and freed them from servitude.
The First Queen
She was a spider-ling: a creature not unlike a Drider, but smaller, about the size of a small horse. She herself was almost as large as an above average horse, and she had been deemed, as records (as unreliable as they may be) say, to be a prime candidate to lead her cohorts, the supposedly mindless soldiers, in the inevitable push to the surface. But she was not like the others. The First Queen had a will of her own... a mind that vastly surpassed that of most of her kin, and even some of the lower Demons that were meant to keep them in line. She disliked many of her superiors, demons who saw them as nothing more than a means to an end. Demons who did not think that their minds would matter, and that the Xyalgari (A name they did not invent, but which was instated together with the Kingdom itself) did not deserve to see the future they sought. After all, they had been created as drones, soldiers... slaves, as much as anyone else.
So it was that The First Queen began to speak with her cohorts during training. The Demons, in their hubris, believed that it did not matter if they left the soldiers alone when they were drilled: There was no way they could be smart or strong enough to oppose them. They were very wrong. For, the more the queen spoke with her fellow warriors, the more she realized that barely any of them actually wished to fight. Many of them were hardly more than children, only recently brought into maturity by the Demonic influence that gripped their home. Many of them wanted to lead simple lives, and to pursue their own wants. And so, as She spoke with more and more soldiers, the seeds of dissent started to grow, right under the Demons' noses.
The soldiers which they relied upon to fuel their advancements began recruiting more, speaking amongst eachother about breaking away from the dungeons and tunnels in which the Demons kept them. Far away from the watchful eyes of their demon "masters". As tensions within the Xyalgari population began to grow, The Queen knew it was time to split away... time to banish their "Masters" to the hells from whence they came... whether they were successful or not. The element of surprise worked in their favour, for even in the years that the populace had grown closer to itself, and away from the Demons, the demons had not realized they were already betrayed. The uprising began slowly. The Forges, to the misguided delight of the Demons, began working overtime, creating weaponry to distribute when the hour of battle was nigh. Wells were dug, roads were paved, and expanded faster than they had been. All under the guiding Hand of the Queen, over many years in which her army steadily grew, while the Demons were subsequently deprived of their own. And then... the hammer met the anvil.
The demon's failed ritual cost them the Deeps... for when Magic once more warped the world... a miracle happened. Some of the Xyalgari were uplifted, finding a feeling for magic, the energy as natural to them as the very air they breathed. Many of them were lieutenants of the Queen... and the Queen herself was empowered beyond even her officers, finding that she could manifest magic at will, creating weaker spells through imagination and willpower alone. The people as a whole were gifted with more intelligence, and a feeling of cohesion they had never felt before. Of course... the corrupting influence was not lost, either, and some of the denizens of the deep were lost as the deepening natural urges clashed within them, and drove them into the wild caves. Some are still found there, in small tribes, living along the Kingdom's outer borders.
It was then that the Queen struck: She attacked, and slew her direct superior in single combat, as her soldiers overwhelmed the Demons' headquarters, the Obsidian Citadel, which stands to this day, as the seat of the Royal Family, the Matriarchs, and the Queen. Within a few months, the Demons were driven out of the Fangs of Marnath, forced away by the overwhelming power of their own creations, a host they had not prepared for nearly well enough in their arrogant complacancy. And when the dust settled... they found that they had won, but the price was dire. More than a third of all Xyalgari had been killed, or seriously injured during the course of the War, and many of the wounded were lost, as well, despite the new magic that they now possessed. But, they all knew one thing: Now... they were free. And freedom tasted so very, very sweet.
Culture:
The Kingdom
When the first Xyalgari freed themselves from oppression by the Demons, they decided to keep their central Leadership. Only a month after the end of the War, The First Queen was coronated... and the Kingdom of Xyalg-Qy'uun was born. The name roughly translates to "The Free Darkness", given that the deeps of the Kingdom are only rarely wreathed in light... most of it is bathed in perpetual twilight, only broken by lanterns, torches, forges or magic. As time passed, the Queen started seeing that her people were scarred by the war... and while it was still mandatory for every citizen to train as a soldier when they came of age... violence barely existed. Skirmishes with the Wild Ones, as they are known to the kingdom at large, happened from time to time... but rarely with any real casualties. Eventually, with the influence within the very fabric of Awsha, these hostilities slowed, and stopped, and the wild Inhabitants of the Caverns were allowed to stay in the Kingdom... even if relegated to its borders.
Traditions
Many old crafts and traditions were kept from their days as the Demons' subordinates. Most prominently, they are semi-pacifistic: They're ideologies stem on the desire to be free, and to all live together in peace. Magic is allowed to be studied freely, though for the practice of it, one is required to find a teacher, so that no one magic user is ever on their own, or stumbles on ways to use it that would be deemed dangerous. This does not mean, however, that taboo magic is not practiced: On the contrary, many magicks that are deemed malicious are often encouraged with benevolent hands, to guide aspiring magic users not to use them.
The use of magic is strictly regulated within Xyalg-Qy'uun: Anyone with an affinity to the natural force is required to register as a magic user under Xyalgari law... but the practice itself is rather interpretative. Commisions of senior mages monitor each school of magic within the kingdom, and while none are directly outlawed, the actual ways they are utilized, is. A necromancer may, for example, be allowed to raise dead people if there were reason to believe they died of unnatural causes, to get justice... but would not be allowed to revive a person who died through natural means, for it would dishonour their memories.
They are also masters of the forge, loom, and tannery, as well as quill. Masterful metalwork, clothwork, leatherwork, and artistry, is rewarded within the kingdom, and those that master their respective craft are almost always distinguished as such. This promotes a close collaboration between masters and aspiring craftsmen of their fields, to allow those with the capacity for it to flourish within it.
They discourage and dislike open violence, and will resolve most disputes through either discussions, make-up gifts, or, when both parties are familiar enough, through sexual favours. They are an open people between eachother, but very secretive and somewhat suspicious of outsiders, a relic from their slavehood long ago, where the first outside force immediately attempted to subjugate them.
All romantic relationships are considered a marriage: whether between two people, three people, or ten, romances are considered binding, until such a time where one of those involved no longer feels the same. Arranged marriages do not exist: The mere notion of being with someone you did not choose is foreign to them. Often, detachment or divorce is a more momentous occasion than getting together, since only the former requires the interaction with a state official, so as to not have conflicts between couples that have split up. This goes for all people, whether they would be foreign or Xyalgari... but so far, no foreigners have entered the Kingdom's halls.
The Matriarchy, and it's Queen, are essentially royalty, and are the undisputed rulers of the Kingdom. They are the descendants of the First Queen, and whether through a trick of nature, or a twist of fate, entirely female. They have the last ruling on any question of law, or dispute... and to be called to an Audience with the Queen is either a personal honour, or a disgrace, depending on whether you are the one who was implicated in wrongdoing, or the one trying to get justice for wrongs against one's self. The Kingdom is also divided into several districts, governed by a Mayor-General, who is in turn assisted by a council of advisors. Should disputes arise within the council, it is customary to convene a conclave with a member of the royal family to mediate. Should no agreements be reached, the Matriarch of the Realm will always have the final say, though she is also honourbound to take the Mayor-General's opinions into consideration. Few conclaves are ever convened, as few large disagreements ever happen... but each one is followed by minor celebrations for the accord that is made public.
Geology:
The Caverns
The largest part of the kingdom is made up of what is simply called the Kyuul, or the "Caverns". Large, wide open areas, clefts deep in the Earth, where most cities of Xyalg-Qy'uun are situated, due to the expansive nature of the ground there, as well as the ease of building onto and into the natural bedrock. Usually, houses here are built low to the ground, so as to allow for easier rebuilding in the case of falling rock, or fires. They are also the most densely populated areas of the Kingdom, save for the City surrounding the Obsidian Citadel. It is also here, in the outskirts, that the Xyalgari have dug many of their mines, delving silver, iron, gold, copper, and many other metals needed for everyday life.
The Spires
The inner heart of the Kingdom is called the Moruu, the "Spires". It is called such for the large, looming spires of stone that span from both ground to ceiling. It is here that many trade hubs lie, within the spire-cities inner columns. It is in the Spires that many of the Xyalgari libraries reside, and where the knowledge of their people, as scarce as it is, is stored. Many of the Spire's libraries have duplicate copies of the original manuscripts, though the originals are kept safely locked in a vault, deep within the Obsidian Citadel itself. The craftsmen that provide the markets with their goods live almost entirely at the Foot, or Crown, or each Spire Tower City. They keep the burgeoning hearts running, whether with tools, pottery, various foodstuffs, or artisanal wood-, metal- and stonework.
The Obsidian Citadel
In the deepest caverns of the Kingdom stands an old demonic stronghold, built into the very earth itself: The Obsidian Citadel. It is the home of the royal family, as well as many of the descendants of the officers of the First Queen. Around it, many settlements have grown, having come from far and wide to live near the royals. Around the Citadel flows Xyalg-Qy'uun's largest river, the Worm of the Earth, the Qureth Oqaal. It is the source of most of the kingdom's gold, next to the many mines that dot the Caverns. It's dark, nearly black walls glisten unnaturally in the dim light below ground, as if possessed by old magicks and spirits. It is an otherworldly place, where the veil between reality and the demon realm of Hellshine seems thin... yet, that could not be further from the truth, for day and night, the mages of the kingdom work to slowly rid the very stones of the earth of Awsha of the old corruption, to keep their people safe... the Royal family of the Matriarchs chief among them.
Final Notes:
The Kingdom of Xyalg-Qy’uun is a very sheltered one... but one that has managed to flourish despite being cut of from the rest of Awsha’s inhabitants. Self-sustaining, and highly protective of their own, it will be interesting to see how they react when reconnected with Awsha’s various other races.
(Thank you to @club-azure For allowing me to write this bit about a kingdom in the world of Awsha :D The world of Awsha is the brain-child of @runus-brewblade, @nadias-rp-tales, @club-azure. They are all amazing artists and writers. You should check them out :D)

The deeps, and their greatest Treasure
(Just a disclaimer beforehand: The monsters in this story are left purposefully vague, so that everyone can fill it in however they desire. Enjoy~)
This is the story about how I met an alien Water Queen, yet also one of the last of her kind… about how she became my wife, even though we should have been mortal enemies… And about how an expedition for money, glory and science became the biggest adventure I would ever face. The is the story of me, and my beloved Wife, Androthene.
______________________________________
We’d spent months, nearly a year, on that accursed planet. Mireya, the surface hot, almost blistering, it’s denizens having all but abandoned it aeons ago, to live below the crust, digging out caverns, streets, entire societies. We’d arrived as a team of prospectors, miners, and engineers. We weren’t scientists… we were blatantly trying to exploit the planet for it’s resources. Sadly, soon after we arrived, our ship’s engine died. Without the Engine, we didn’t have the power to sustain our diggers, and the High-frequency mining-picks and sledgehammers. With the rock as dense as it was in the deeper caves, there was no way down for us, so we were essentially stuck. The local U.G.S autorities Alerted us to a newly discovered source of some kind of unknown metal, which seemed to connect with a goldmine… and our company had the sole mining rights. The didn’t have the tech to mine it out… and since ours was the only mining company, we struck a contract, both with the locals, and the authorities.
Sadly, our replacement Engine didn’t arrive for another month, so we’d been forced to try to make our living elsewise: cleaning streets, ungriming buildings, work as bouncers and bartenders. You get by when times are tough. When we were contacted for the arrival of the dropship, we all immediately dropped our jobs, and grabbed our suits. Elentryon Incorporated, one of the major Planetary Mining and Asteroid Cracking companies, our Employer, had been generous enough to not only give us a new Engine, but also to include two replacement power cells for our heavy manual equipment, as well as a Duratanium Sledgehammer. The hammer The kind of tool an average man could swing once to make a house come down, though in mining, it was usually used as a localized Dislocator, which is a simple term for: Used to bring thin walls down, without disturbing the geophysical properties of the surrounding stone and ore. Usually to crack through thinner cave walls, and make new tunnels in existing tunnel-systems.
We did not know at the time that the tunnels we were digging in lead down to an underground lake. Or that the ore we were supposed to harvest Was far deeper than any tunnels we had ever delved into until now. We discovered this when we encountered the hostile life in the Deep Tunnels: quadrupedal creatures, legs and backs wreathed in thick, heavy chitinous plates, silent as the night. Eventually, we had to start carrying a heat-detector, after losing someone to the aliens, whom were eventually dubbed Nocturna, the nightcrawlers. They seemed… sapient. Smart enough to co-ordinate, and prepare ambushes. The only reason most of us survived was because of our Military-Grade Reaper Industries personnel shields. And yes, I am required to name them by contract.
Then, One night, After setting up our perimeter, and hunkering down for the night after setting up the defensive turrets… there was an eerie sound, coming from the direction of the lake. We’d found it the day before, and decided to camp out in a nearby cavern. Easy to defend, given it only had one entrance, and the Nocturna were exceptionally vulnerable to light in their eyes, as we found out when one of them got a face full of flashlight. We sadly had to use those sparingly, given the fact that, down here, we were unable to recharge them. And we were running out of time. At most, we still had two days of batteries in them, and then, we’d be left in the dark. So we’d have to go back tomorrow, and leave all our equipment behind so we’d be able to move quickly enough. Thankfully, the Nocturna only seemed interested in food. So… me and one of my colleagues decided to check it out. It was nothing like what the nightcrawlers sounded like… and they seemed to avoid the lake like the plague, as well. That was the real reason we set up so close to it… even with the unknown force that resided within.
Soon enough, me and my colleague, Samantha, arrived at the edge of the water. It was… clear, and pristine. The water seemed to virtually shimmer, as if it was alive… and the music became even louder. I recognized it as a voice… not a call. They were words, though not in any language I had ever heard before. It was beautiful. Samantha… Samantha was less impressed. She called out to the water when the singing wouldn’t stop.
“Show yourself!” She cried out… and then we found out just how true it was that the water seemed to be alive. Because no more than ten feet away from the shore, a head came up, slightly larger than ours… followed by a blue and violet body, that looked vaguely humanoid, but with plated ridges down the back and arms. It was then that I realized she was naked, because I could clearly see the two pale, round mounds where a human’s chest would be, though they, too, were armored. Then… came the rest: Long, stilt-like legs, like that of a Spider Crab, rose from the water, as well as several long, semi-transparent tendrils, lining her back, which had been lost in the water. Then her abdomen, a huge, rotund shell, vaguely alike too a crab, but smoother, the plates more rounded, seemingly layered on top of one another, the whole flat orb easily the size of a small car. Once that happened, Samantha bolted, with an ear-piercing scream, dropping her gun as she ran.
The Water Queen, as I later affectionately called her species, looked… almost sad, when the other girl ran… but I stayed. I was enraptured by her beauty, taken in by the sheer… otherworldliness of her. She looked like she was partially ethereal, with how the tendrils behind her swayed in unison, as if they were part of a ghost, forced to all move at once. When she saw me, she looked down… and only spoke one word.
”Who?” I was shocked that she even knew how to speak our language… but, also not, somehow. She had likely heard many miners higher up in the tunnels… and going by the fact that she seemed to lurk underwater, I could understand why the Nocturna would avoid the lake: She was huge, and I could see a flash of sharp fangs when she spoke… meaning she was a carnivore. A predator. I stumbled over my words in answer, trying to seem as unthreatening as possible.
”M-My name is Finneya… P-Pleased to meet you.” I could feel myself looking like an awestruck schoolgirl… and to be fair, I was. This… female looked so… beautiful. Yes, she looked humanoid… but only the shape of her was. She looked entirely adapted to life down here in the caves, save for the sparkle in her eyes.
”I-I mean you no harm. We… followed your song here. My friend was just… scared. We’ve been fighting our way down the whole way here.” She looked angry at this, and I knew then she held no love for the Nightcrawlers, which only affirmed my theory that she was the reason they avoided the lake.
”Crawlings… Bad. Hurt… Me. Only Hunt. Waste meat. You Fight?” She spoke, and I nodded at the question, and she seemed pleased, her posture relaxing slightly as she came closer to the shore. “Crawlings… Die. You fight… Crawlings. Me… help?” She seemed to like the idea of having people help her fight… and only then did I notice what she had strapped to her back: A massive, gleaming blade, seemingly cut from a metal I had never seen.
”Ummm… Y-yeah, sure, Follow me--” I wanted to say more… but then, there was a sound: A deep, ear-scraping chitter. Samantha’s screaming had called the Nocturna towards their position. I ran towards our Camp, and you could hear the swarm coming up through the tunnels. The Water Queen followed me, and when the others saw her, there was a lot of cocked guns in an instant.
”Guys, Water Monster, Water Monster, Guys. We don’t have time for this, turn on the fucking LAMPS!” I yelled, and not a moment too soon… because when the first lamp came on, the first of the Crawlers was already only about 8 feet away, and it lunged at us blindly. There were many more of them in the tunnel, too many to count… so, we started unloading. Bullets were flying, plates cracked, and shields fizzled. Amidst the turmoil, Androthene (yes, it was her) unsheathed her weapon… and swung it like it was a matchstick. The turgid, sickening crunch of metal meeting flesh, bone, and plates quickly followed, as she cut down 4 of the Nocturna at once. We ceased fire, and instead drew our Duratanium Vibroblades. We moved in behind her, like a well-oiled machine, taking down any stragglers that her swings did not fell. After only a few of these marching swings, the agitated crawlers disappeared back into the hole they’d come from… and the only injuries we sustained were minor bruises, with Samantha also catching a bitewound on her shoulder.
At the end of the battle, we all huddled around the heater with our new ally sitting outside, since she was too wide to fit into the entrance. She didn’t seem to mind though.
”You… Brave. Fight Good. Like you.” The others were just as surprised as I had been at hearing her speak, though Samantha still looked at her like she was a devil in disguise. The others smiled eventually, though, when I explained that she probably meant well, and thanked her for the help, as well as the compliments. We medicated Samantha’s wound, and patched ourselves up a little as well, and went to sleep, after Androthene offered to take the watch, given that she had no need to sleep anymore. I stayed up with her… and while she didn’t understand why… she didn’t push me away, either.
The next day, after breakfast, we made to get out of the caves… and unexpectedly… our new companion asked if she could join us.
”I… Come with?” She asked, and we all looked at eachother, confused.
So, I asked: “Don’t you have to go back to the lake?” She shook her head.
“No… Lake in Dead End. I leave, Crawlings come. Caves open, Crawlings drown.” She seemed to believe that was how it worked… and I had to say, I did not want to disagree with her. The things swarming into the narrow coast would definitely drown a few if they couldn’t swim. The others agreed, and even Samantha, who was skeptical, ultimately agreed, stating it might work out better for us.
And so, we set out… leaving our Equipment behind, with a Locator Beacon, and a message saying that the local fauna was light sensitive, and highly aggressive… so that the recovery team would not make the mistake we did, and not bring enough batteries. Androthene followed us through the bigger caves, up to civilization… and she got many, many looks of disgust and fear along the way. She reached down, though, to me… and I held her hand… it felt right to show that I was with this creature… that she was with us… and in a way, that I felt like she was worthy of being held intimately. Eventually, I got to my ship, the biggest one in the fleet… And she insisted on coming with me. I looked her in the eyes, and smiled… nodding slowly, as I opened the bay doors… and the rest, as they say, is history.
______________________________________
Epilogue: Androthene wrapped her arms around me then, and I grinned, as I looked behind me at my beautiful wife… and as her hands went down to stroke over my swollen stomach, I blushed, and took her clammy, but strong hands… and grinned at her lovingly.
”I love you, my darling Androthene.”
”And I love you, my darling Finneya.”

Why does this exist? How can our representatives think that ADDING MORE CENSORSHIP is a good idea...??? If this goes through, I can't continue writing and sharing here... please, if you live in Europe, go to the petition. Maybe we can stop this thing.
The internet could change next week, and not in a good way
You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression.
We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. There’s already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report.
The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered “fair use” under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We don’t believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.
If you access Tumblr from Europe and want to act, you can find more information on saveyourinternet.eu.

In Starlight, Two souls entwined (part 2)
(This is the continuation of This Story. Enjoy <3)
Present Day:
Meliphise was lounging on their massive couch, though it was mostly that large to be able to accommodate her whopping thirty feet of thickly scaled tail. She was watching the television, broadcasting news of the surrounding planets and solar systems.
“Hey Ash, come take a look at this! It seems that there’s a solar flare coming up in the next couple of days or so.”
She yelled over her shoulder, at her simian Girlfriend, who was in the adjacent room… Which also happened to be her laboratory.
“I’ll be right there, Darling… Just running the final diagnostics for today to make sure the egg is healthy.”
She called out in return, through the intercom of the upright stasis-pod she was currently in. When she stepped out, her visibly swollen stomach made it just barely possible for her to step out on her own. She looked at the readings on the screens next to the pod.
”I’ve got good news and bad news for you, honey, what would you like to hear first?”
“Well, gimme the good first, then the bad.”
“The good news is that our egg is doing fine: She even seems to be growing a little more quickly than she used to. Must be all those protein’s you’re making me eat.”
Meliphise audibly cried out in ecstatic excitement, and rapid movements could be heard from the living room.
“OK, So, What’s the bad news, Babe?”
”Well, the bad news is that we are slowly running out of Fluffalo Meat and Mooshi Milk, so it might become hard to keep up the diet she needs…”
The Lamia, having already risen from the couch, slowly slithered into the Lab, in her birthday suit, save from a scrap of cloth covering her pelvic region.
”Oh… That… that is definitely not good…”
She placed her softly scaled hands on Asharei’s rotund stomach, softly caressing over the Princess’s skin, down her toned hips, and gently along the pink-ish fur on her legs. She hissed lightly, though in a way that sounded very much like a mother trying to talk to their child.
”But, at least she’s OK… looks like we had nothing to be worried about after all, even though you did get ill.”
”Don’t remind me… It’s not a lot of fun when you’re down with a simple flu, but then have to worry about your own baby…”
Asharei pouted a little at the end of her sentence… only to be immediately pulled in for a deep, loving kiss from Meliphise, who’s tail had instinctively wrapped around Ash’s legs, so that her only support was Meli herself. The kiss lasted almost a full minute, before the Lamia retreated, and smiled, whispering softly.
”Look, we scoured every Miniknog lab we could find for the best lab equipment around… you’re smart, and know your science, and I’m good with machines… We’ve got what it takes to make sure our baby is healthy as a horse by the time she’s born.”
The woman slid her hands up along Asharei’s belly, under the hem of her shirt, and unashamedly up along her lover’s breasts… softly kneading the two perfectly soft mounds, causing a startled, albeit blissful, moan from the Princess, who immediately went red with the deepest blush imaginable.
”H-Hey, no groping in the Lab… what if something breaks?”
The Apex girl admonished, though in her tone, there was also a small hint of longing. She blushed, as she started smiling again, taking Meli’s hand, and squeezing it.
”I-I could use a bath, though… I-I r-really need to relax today. Those tests were even more stressful than usual.”
Her lover slid around behind Ash, kissing along the girl’s neck, nibbling her with sharp fangs, as well, kneading her Girlfriend’s breasts one more time each, before pulling her hands away from underneath the shirt… taking both of the Princess’s furred hands in her own scaled ones, smiling, pressing a deep, loving kiss to Asharei’s lips.
”I’m so happy you decided to tell me how you felt. Even after a year of being together with you, seeing you, first thing when I wake up in the morning: It takes my breath away.”
She trailed off, and looked at the bathroom, before turning to Asharei, a mischievous glint in her eyes, while she tugged the simian girl over to the bathroom… slipping off her loincloth, Her closed sheath showing that she bore male features down below, which was common in Lamia-women, something that was no longer a secret to either of them… but had also been a source of great comfort to Meliphise, when her Beloved Princess had accepted her as who she was.
”First off… Let’s take that bath, My Love… We’ll figure out the rest later.”
Meliphise was now fully nude, her gleaming red scales shimmering under the Ships’ unnatural light, her human skin slightly flushed from her feelings of attraction. Asharei was blushing even heavier, but also started to undress, showing her fur on the arms and legs. Meliphise smiled, and unabashedly stroked her scaled, clawed fingers over her girlfriend’s naked chest, letting them dance on the supple skin. The Lamia kissed and nibbled on her neck gently, before breaking away, knowing that it would make the Apex girl shiver in bliss as it had so many times before… which it did. Asharei quivered as Meliphise broke away, and pulled the princess towards the bathroom slightly, slithering as she went, to which the girl only replied, with a deep blush on her face.
”Lead the way… My dearest Love…”
(I hope you liked this Story~ It may not make a whole lot of sense, but it’s very close to my heart. Thank you~)

In Starlight, Two souls entwined (part 1)
(This is a Story between two OC’s: Mine, and one of someone who is exceptionally dear to me. It’s very personally charged, so I apologize for any mushiness beforehand. The Story is based on the general premise of the game ‘Starbound’.)
It had been almost a year now, since they’d met, back on Ash’s homeworld, Alnaasi Prime. A princess, she had been, and Meliphise a mere traveler, a Lamia, of all people, had come to deal with to Royal Family’s monster infestation. It hadn’t mattered that she wasn’t supposed to look at the princess, nor had it mattered that the princess wasn’t supposed to interact with outsiders: It had been obvious to them both, the moment they laid eyes upon one another, that they would leave the planet, together, even if at the time, of course, they didn’t know that the feeling was mutual.
Meliphise Toiled several hours, creating guns, armor, and ammunition, in her space-ship’s replication facility, to slay the foul beasts infesting Alnaasi’s Duratanium mines. She fought deep into the night, using every last resource, until the Tintick Broodmother had been killed. Not without a price, though: Part of her tail had been eaten by the goliath specimen of the Tintick, robotic ticks gone haywire… and when the guards found her, she was only within an inch of her life. Princess Asharei, against her Parents’ wishes and commands, Visited Meliphise, the honourable defendant of their lands, and their livelihoods, and who had even almost died doing so. It wasn’t all, of course: She simply had to see this woman who still stole her breath away even now that she was weakened and on deaths door...
Hours passed after she was recovered from the mouth of the mine. Hours turned to days. Days in which she was under constant supervision of the medics, and the best miniature-cloning devices. Days turned into a month. In that time, Meliphise was slowly ‘rebuilt’, her tail grown in rapidly accelerated regeneration, in her recovery pod: A slow, painful process, but one that was absolutely vital for her to work as efficiently as possible. During her recovery, she and Asharei spent many hours speaking of the beauties of space, the dangers of the deeps and heights of planets, the exotic creatures Meli had encountered, and the vastness of the Void Above.... And Slowly but surely, they realized they were in love, as neither had ever been able to speak so openly with anyone else before. The Princess was the one to confess her feelings however, in the seclusion of the recovery-room… and they made a pact that same day, a few days before the Lamia was scheduled to be finished: They would Leave the planet together, or not at all.
Upon the end of Meliphise’s recovery, they started planning in secret: Steal Alnaasi’s finest War Vessel, the Princess’s own ship, and use it to disappear into the depths of the cosmos. Asharei convinced the King and Queen to let Meliphise stay, under the guise of hiring her as her personal bodyguard. Her parents were reluctant… but they agreed eventually, after a long night of deliberation. The Princess used the built-in Microwarp engines to ferry all of Meli’s belonging’s onto the much larger Apex spaceship, so that Meliphise’s smaller craft could be abandoned, should that be necessary. After a few days of preparing, Asharei took Meliphise on a walk, telling her parents that she would be perfectly safe under the guard of the Lamia warrior. They strolled through the gardens outside the palace, and once they were out of sight of the guards near the hangar, the simian princess guided them to her ship. They were somehow not spotted, in a stroke of insane luck, and managed to get even Meliphise’s small ship into the cargo hold of the Apex Warship, which had been affectionately dubbed the “Jungle Fever” by the couple. Before anyone knew what had happened, the ship had already warped into orbit, and disappeared from planetary scanners mere moments later. They were free.
A year passed since that fated escape. A year of traveling, delving into uncharted caves, mercenary work, and living together on a massive spaceship. And it had been worth every moment. They’d grown closer and closer as they flew through the vast expanses of space, traversed entire oceanic planets and underwater cities of the Hylotl, and trekked over mountains and through jungles. They were free souls, together, in love, and unstoppable. And it was inevitable that they would go further than just hugging and kissing…
(The Second part will be coming soon, so please stay tuned <3 I hope you enjoyed this so far. It’s a very personal piece.)
