well EYE think hollow doll mt19 is kind of beautiful and fascinating like bhagel was funny as hell for his i fight for the flag not for the cameras soundbite but also Duh. man who baited david pastrnak into fighting him in a 6-1 game and has been facing pr relationship allegations since day one loves to cultivate a persona and put on a show for attention thanks you really cracked him for me <3 and he may be smoke&mirrors all the way down but he’s also. winning. by which i mean that within the matthew tkachuk hockeyfight schema if he is the one asking for a fight and you agree to it you’ve already lost..

anyway my real question is where da hell has auston matthews been in any of this like girl your circus!!! revising my earlier assessment to say that matthew works better as an alternate than a captain but only if the actual captain is able to carve out a distinct team identity that follows from him in a way matthew can play off of without detracting from. and maybe one reason team usa feels so weird (IN ADDITION TO. everything) is amatts & co are being subsumed under the tkachuk brother narrative (jt miller is a backpack monkey in this scenario sorry he's a fan <3) in a way that mayyyybe works for a tournament like this but is unsustainable longterm. so team usa almost functions as a case study for what could have happened in florida if the team had not already been so deeply modeled around sasha & if sasha had not been so intentional about incorporating matthew into the core & playing to their leadership strengths. wow crazy everything does come back to matthewsasha :) amatts u are not serving the yin energy needed in this space
