for me a relationship is ‘goals’ when your partner is at the same time your best friend, your confidant, your counselor, your lover. when with that person you can really be yourself, when you can play like kids and spend most of the time making jokes, taking thousands of pictures, ugly pictures of you witch are made fabulous only by her presence in. laughing together, screaming together, caring together, not caring together and occasionally crying together. the most important thing is to be really happy and seeing her eyes shine from joy when she is beside you, I mean that’s pure happiness. a relationship is cute even when there’s jealousy, jealousy of the good, jealousy with motives and not toxic. it’s amazing that your family knows her and your mother asking you all the time how she doing and if you are taking good care of that angel

In the movie the couple run away to California after killing her pimp and stealing his drugs to start a new life financed by a once in a lifetime drug deal. It’s the sentiment behind the film that appeals to me, the hopelessly romantic notion that two people can meet and instantly fall in love, an escape story where love is the highest law and conquers all against the odds.
