On March 20th 2012, Trey Sesler (pictured above) got drunk and sat brooding in the family garage. As his mother Ronda walked in, he shot her in the torso until she was dead. His brother Mark was shot next which awoke his father, Lawtin, who was asleep in another room. Selser shot him multiple times before shooting each family member in the head to be sure they were dead. Sesler then killed the family pets (a dog, two cats and a rabbit) before completely smashing the interior of his home. 

In a black marker he scribbled phrases such as “God help me” and “I will never forgive myself” on doors, cupboards and walls before making a getaway to the nearby Waller Jr. High School. There he intended to kill at least 70 people but didn’t follow through with the plan, saying it was “too real” to continue on. He was arrested two days later and sentenced to life imprisonment.
