Bayern are planning to sell João Palhinha this summer and are hoping they will still make back some of the €51 million they paid Fulham last year. Palhinha still has a good reputation in the Premier League, which Bayern hope will be enough to encourage reasonable offers. As far as Vincent Kompany is concerned, Palhinha simply doesn't suit the Belgian head coach's needs or system. The Portuguese international wasn't a Kompany player when he arrived from Burnley—he was still attuned to Thomas Tuchel's way of thinking. The club is also very much in agreement with Kompany; they want to sell him this summer, provided there is a chance to. Palhinha still believes he has a chance to succeed at Bayern, but, for the moment, it doesn't seem that way for everyone else involved in the decision.
