The Steel Pub Gets a Rename!
Tumblr media
The Steel Pub has been around for a little over three years now, and was originally created by Bathildis Ironstout as member of Clan Steelgrasp.  Though Bath ran the pub, the name of the tavern was suggested by Thane Furgas Steelgrasp, himself.  In fact, The Steel Pub was short for the Steelgrasp Public House.
At our three-year anniversary, however, we were happy to announce that the Steel Pub has undergone a name change.  It will now be referred to as Battlestein Brewpub in honor of it’s host guild, the Battlestein Company.
Fortunately, the name is the only thing that has changed!  We offer the same Dwarves, the same beer, the same night, the same time, and the same great service you’ve come to expect!  So if you’re ever looking to kill some time on Sunday nights between 6-9 pm, come out to Anvilmar and visit the Dwarves of the Mead Hall for some renowned hospitality, and the best Khaz damned brews in Khaz Modan!

<3!!!
A Fiendish Farewell
Unnecessarily long and woefully overly-dramatic post ahead!! Sorry!!
I’d like to start this off with making it clear that The Great Nyehehe has been one of my favorite characters I’ve had the pleasure of playing, designing, and writing for in my entire life. His character, design, backstory, interactions with other player characters, and bizarre little mannerisms have always been a blast to roleplay with. As such, it is with a heavy heart and hesitant hand that announce my retirement of The Great Nyehehe, at least on World of Warcraft.
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you might have noticed that this has been coming for some time now. Rather than creating new content regularly, I’ve merely been reblogging older posts either due to lack of time and energy. That, or there simply wasn’t enough material in WoW to make a sufficiently funny post out of ((WoW has plenty of in-game holidays that were incredibly difficult to make a joke out of; for instance, why were there so many days about adopting birds!?! Bah!!)). If you’ve been playing in-game, you may be even more aware of Nyeh’s lack of appearances. The most I’ve RPed was at a single event during the holidays, of which my forever shabby internet connection forced me out of only partially through. The Great Nyehehe, and this blog, have been uncharacteristically quiet for some time.
While I don’t want to complain or bombard you all with tragic tales of self-pity and woe, real life responsibilities have been demanding more and more time and energy as of late, and I don’t have nearly the amount of free time I used to. Furthermore, World of Warcraft as a game and a narrative have ceased to entertain or inspire me. I haven’t played the OOC game, such as raids, dungeons, or even questing since late-Summer and haven’t been in an actual guild, RP-focused or not, in more than a year. I think I might just be too familiar with the game to truly enjoy it anymore; Similar to Team Fortess 2 and various other games I’ve obsessed over for years, it’s no longer new or fascinating for me despite everything I still have yet to accomplish in BFA ((My Horde-side alt is still only Level 111, embarrassingly)). I found WoW’s story to be largely inoffensive, despite all the questionable character progression and controversial conflicts that have occurred. Arguably that’s the worst part about it, however, is that it no longer strikes any reaction in me anymore. The universe of Warcraft as a setting o longer lights any sparks of creativity or inspiration for me.
Even when I wanted to do something big, such as last month during the WInter Veil season, I ended up fudging it or couldn’t manage to finish everything I had dearly wanted. Last month’s song posts, for instance, were intended to be sung by myself and a few friends, but that never managed to work out, and in the end I could do little but post the vocal-less .mp3s along with the lyrics and art. “A Wicked-ful Life”, my parody of It’s a Wonderful-Life, was also left unfortunately unfinished in its second part: several images I had intended to go along with the dialogue were never even made. I regret not finding more time to finish these projects as I planned, but since it was being rushed out during the busy holiday season, despite being initially started in January of last year, I found little time to spare.
As such, I’ve decided to finally and formally end these continuous accounts of The Great Nyehehe’s malevolent and moronic misadventures. I’ll still be around on Tumblr, of course, to answer questions and to browse posts, but won’t be posting properly for a long time. Whether or not I’ll ever return to this blog is to unsure, though I doubt it will be anytime terribly soon. If you choose to unfollow due to lack of content, I wouldn’t blame you in the slightest. However, I would like to state that this is not the end of The Great Nyehehe, not forever. I simply love The Great Nyehehe too much as a character, and plan to use him in future projects sometime outside of the Warcraft universe. Though unfortunately it may be of little use to you to know, I still plan to use him for other roleplaying video games and for my current, long-running Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and in other artistic pursuits that I already have some very loose plans for. It is, however, likely that it is the end of his days of his stories being reported on this blog.
I’d like to sincerely thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for following these stupid stories and idiotic interactions of this stupid little character I made on a whim. It’s been so wonderful, these past almost four years, to have had you as readers and fellow roleplayers on Wyrmrest Accord. Had I not had so much love and adoration for both the character of The Great Nyehehe and you all, I would have merely stopped writing here and bid you all an “evil night!!”, but due to the long affection I’ve held and everything I’d like to finally gush about around the idea of The Great Nyehehe, there will be plenty more to read after the cut. This post is probably nearly slightly too long to scroll past already!! If you choose to end your readings here, I would like to thank you so much for your readership, however long or short it may have been. Have an “evil night!!”

BREWMOOT!
Tumblr media
What: The monthly Dwarven Moot + Brewfest = BREWMOOT! When: Saturday, September 29th, 2018 6-9pm server. Where: Brewfest Grounds, Dun Morogh, Wyrmrest Accord(US) Hosts: Battlestein Company and the Mead Hall
For just one night every year, two of the most renowned Dwarven celebrations happen to perfectly align.  For 2018, the Mead Hall's monthly Dwarven Moot which traditionally takes place on the last Saturday of each month, and Brewfest which lasts the last two weeks of September and first week of October both overlap on September 29th.  Naturally, to make the best of both activities, the guild honored to run September's Moot has the option (if they don't then they're ninnies) to host the Moot at the Brewfest holiday grounds.  The combination of these two events is affectionately called BREWMOOT.
Traditionally, the Steelgrasp Brigade, hosted BREWMOOT, but ever since the migration of some players to the Battlestein Company, the prestige of hosting BREWMOOT has transferred with them.  As is Battlestein tradition, we plan on going all out for this month's Moot, so here's a preview of what's to come:
Expect the Battlestein Brewery Booth to be there providing their fantastic Dwarven brews all Moot long!
Naturally, as it is Brewfest, expect another Drinking Contest Tournament!
The previously popular Tonk Battles return for another Moot!
We will be hosting another Trivia Contest!
Not quite as refined as the renowned Dwarven art of flyting, but Drunken Taunt Battles make their comeback, as well!
Ram racing gets a unique twist, as it will be hosted as a Hide-and-Seek Drunken Ram Race this year!  Come attend to find out what we mean!
Finally, to cap off the evening, we'll be hosting a Brewfest Themed Mog Contest!  Come bring your best alcohol inspired transmogs!
There are plenty of fun things to do, so be sure that if you make it to just one Moot this year, BREWMOOT is the one.

Battlestein Imports
Tumblr media
The Battlestein Company is happy to announce the acquisition of a new property in it’s network of businesses!  Say hello to Battlestein Imports!
Because of the recent war-efforts in Kul Tiras, there has been a massive surge in population for the small island nation.  Due to Boralus’ reputation as an amazing trade hub for the Alliance, we have decided to get in on the action.  There is a distinct lack of quality Dwarven wares in the lands of Kul Tiras, and we aim to change that.  The Battlestein Company has decided to open a new Khaz Modan based imports store in the busy port-capital.
Tumblr media
Our warehouse is leased from the city of Boralus.  You can find us between the Dampwick Ward and the Ashvane Yards, right across from the barber shop!  Stay tuned for our grand opening - coming soon!
Tumblr media
OOC Notes:  Want to trade?  Come by and sample our wares?  Just ask a guild officer, and we’ll schedule a night to open up shop!  If you see us already there, feel free to walk-up!
