Thinking Vashmeryl thoughts yet again so imagine…

A post Trimax Vash and Meryl dancing together late at night. The music is slow and mellow, barely a quiet hum in the background. The two of them are more like shuffling than truly dancing as they hold on to each other. Vash tells Meryl to step up onto his boots, saying it’s so she can wrap her arms more comfortably around his neck. Meryl does and Vash uses her new-found height to his advantage, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of her mouth.

Meryl let’s out a surprised squeak, her face turning a beet red as she swats at his arm and stammers about it being a cheap trick. Vash can’t help but laugh at her and Meryl uses the distraction to plant her own kiss on his cheek. Vash gasps. She wasn’t supposed to use his own tactics against him! He kisses her on the forehead, determined to be the last one to kiss the other. Meryl catches his chin with her lips before he can pull away, the same amount of determination sparkling in her eyes.

Their quiet night of dancing quickly is thrown out the window in favor of chasing each other around the kitchen island, battling to see who could kiss the other the most.

Do you ever think of how Meryl probably had a hard time sleeping the first few weeks after her and Wolfwood went their separate ways post July, not just because of the horrors she witnessed and endured but also because she had gotten use to hearing the boys and Roberto snoring.

I can just imagine that that first night all alone in a single bed inn room instead of the packed cab of the truck and the absence of the sleeping sounds of her companions had to hurt her deeply.
