Other, more funny things of p&p.
Darcy, not knowing his servants are giving tours around the house out of boredom, : Well, I am pretty much at home, so I can relax a little bit, it's not like anyone can see me like this.
Five minutes later:
Darcy inwardly: Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!!!
Lizzie simultaneously: oh, shit! Oh, shit! Oh, shit!
Bingley while talking to Lizzie: JaneJaneJane. How is my Jane?! Why are you telling me everything but what I want to hear?!
Georgiana, every time she is looking at Lizzie: BigSister, BigSister, BigSister
Darcy, while Ms. Bingley is bashing Lizzie: you come to my house...actually, no - you come to, hopefully, her house and dare to disrespect its mistress?!
Hannah, probably having time of her life, feeding gossip to all of the Lampton: new Mrs.Darcy is a very kind girl, also very outdoorsy, her aunt is one of our own.
Darcy, when Lizzie is crying: Nonono! Please don't! This is even worse then when she was angry with me!
Darcy, hearing about wickham and Lydia: I.WILL.MURDER.HIM. I shall find him and use the slowliest, most painful way to kill him!! I shall fix everything! I shall catch him! - looking at Lizzie - God, I love you! For every tear you shed, he will lose a pint of blood!

My traditional rewatching of bbc's "p&p" (aka the only proper version - it is not the hill that I will die on, but sure the one I shall bury anyone who disagrees) and, unlike before, I tend to pity Lydia. Sure, she is a spoiled child, but that what it is - she is a spoiled child. She would be so much more happy with someone like Danny or pretty much anyone. How long till things with wickham go sour? He was already unhappy to get caught. Book, though I don't like it much, says that Lizzie's and Jane's marriages gave Kitty an opportunity to see more of a society and polish her manners. Did poor silly Lydia ever had a chance? Or is it miyadzaki's "bad children are bad people" and she was doomed from the start. Did Mary find happiness in anyone or anything? Sure, she is the least pretty of Bennet sisters (as everyone reminds her) but she would be more popular if she just dropped the nun act. Would she be happy to become a nun? There is a lot of work involved in the matter, and Mary is from an aristocratic family, after all.
Jane is so kind, she believes and sees good in everyone. Before, I thought it was naive, now I see it as goodness and I understand why Lizzie wants to protect Jane so fiercely. Jane and Bingley are the same, and Darcy is trying to do the same for him. In the book newlywed Binglies could not bare constant presence of Bennet family for long and moved closer to Darcies. I can imagine how relieved Lizzie and Darcy were, "Oh, Thank God! They are too kind and trusting for their own good, it is better if we can keep an eye on them". Georgiana is not so pushy, so when Kitty visits, they will be good companions for each other. Poor Mr. Bennet, with fewer people in the house, he would be pretty much stuck with Mrs. Bennet. I could hope that with no need to worry about three of their daughters, she would be less chaotic, but something tells me she would find other things to pester him about.

Alison Steadman is a superior actress. No one ever shocked me so much. I've been re-watchung p&p multiple times but only after seeing a bit of an interview with her did I realise " God, she is an actress! She is not Mss.Bennet, that spoiled, silly woman!"
“Mr Bennet, what is it? Are we to be murdered in our beds?”
I always imagine the actor who plays Mrs Bennet, Alison Steadman, just off stage. Her line delivery is perfect.

I love her so dearly, it is hard to put in words. It is the only piece of media that I re-watch over and over again
The whole thing is genius. And jennifer is the diamond in the center of the crown
Love love LOVE bbc's pride and prejudice because Jennifer Ehle plays Elizabeth in a way that you can see there is a million thoughts going through her head at all times. That woman is evaluating people!! she's thinking!! she's holding her tongue!! she's in love with that wet cat of a man!!

Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they're technically a fruit when:
A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.
B) The fucking mushrooms are standing there at the back of the crowd in this witch trial, trying to look inconspicuous because they somehow got into the vegetable club with no fucking controversy despite the fact that they're not even plants.
