i've gotta say i'm a little suspicious of the recent wave of "positivity for trans people who don't transition isn't needed (because that's what society wants to begin with) and is part of a larger pattern of discouraging trans people from transitioning" posting. and i say this because the only "positivity for trans people who don't transition" i regularly see is more accurately described as "positivity for trans people whose transitions aren't normative in the sex binary (for example, trans men who want boobs, or trans women who want beards), and are socially out and living life as their true genders anyway." which society doesn't really want, actually. "i'm a woman and you will address me as she/her and consider me as such, beard and all" is not actually well-received by society, funnily enough.
